During 1997-2005 the simpsons used to show at 11:00 everyday right after the news at ten they showed it again i 2010 at 11:00 and 7:00 but now they start to show it at 7:00 only i wished they could put it back on right after the news again i need something funny to laugh at right after the news

man do I miss the fox kids block. I mean I can understand that part of the reason the block is gone is because Disney bought fox family and fox kids, but the other reason is that it was way behind in shows and ratings what other networks, mostly cable had to offer.

In my experience durning the 80s and 90s is that the commericals were what also brought u into that Saturday Morning mood that lacks these days. That is what truely thing i'll miss.

The boy in the goosebumps fruit by the foot commercial is reading a Goosebumps book called "Triple Header: Book 1". It's a collection of three short stories. There was also a book 2.

What I actually loved about the breaks on fox kids back then is that you're actually entertained and you feel like the station cares for their viewers with those short psa announcements. Also the ads used to be so creative back then. Time has taken it's toll on cartoon blocs...

I'm still trying to find out the name of the guy who was doing the WTXF voiceovers at the time. I think he joined the station in 1990, he was previously heard on TBS Superstation. He still does voiceovers today on WUAB in Cleveland.

The voiceover's name is John Young, and he did indeed do work for the Superstation.

29 used him until 1998, when they switched to Scott Chapin.

Goosebumps followed Power Rangers Turbo on weekdays. The schedule was Spiderman at 3 PM, Beetleborgs Metallix at 3:30, PRT at 4 PM, and Goosebumps at 4:30. On Fridays, the 4:30 spot was occupied by Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation.

Yeah - it's more or less forgotten now, but before Harry Potter, Goosebumps and its ilk were a *very* big deal.  It was an important part of the Fox Kids lineup to the point that it got multiple slots - under different names - on Saturday mornings.

Personally, I thought "Are You Afraid of the Dark" was *far* better than the Goosebumps adaptations.
