@Nortryder If the porch floor is going to be wood (versus concrete), you put up a ledger board. Be sure to properly flash the ledger board to keep the board from rotting. The joists are attached to the ledger to support the porch floor. The joists are supported by a beam that sits on posts (that are supported by piers).
That's what I wanted to know. How Do you flash it correctly?
