The S60 R is nothing on the older Volvos. The new R models are great cars don't get me wrong but they're no 850. My 1995 Volvo 850 T5 eats all M3 models (up until E92 of course) just with an ECU re-map. Theu don't compare handling wise though, A standard 325 has given me a run for my money through twisty stuff. Can't have every thing though ey :)

in the E36 there are two types of engine... one is a 3.0 litre and the other is the 3.2 (evolution). the 3.2 litre produces 316bhp and the the other is 286 bhp

Have you ever heard about Volvo 240 TIC? that stands for Turbo InterCooler. Original this car have about 180-200hp with some work on the enegin you could get 450-500 hp out of a B230 Turbo.

With 3days and about 300$ you have a killer enegin i know what i'm talking about. i have driven Volvo 240 TIC in Rally and on Mantorp, and Nurbürgring. and i have 350hp in my daily driver. and 400hp in my race Volvo. And one thing that M3 in the clip is also non stock. with 300 hp this can't be called a stock car. becaus it's have like 200hp original.

Well you can start by buying a larger Turbo. Then you adjust the turbo Pressure, and som new Pistons+ some other things. it's also helps with the money problems in the world becaus the Donor cars are wery cheap now so for 300$ you can get 400++ hp out of a Volvo TIC. (Ofcourse it's help if you can fix a car, and know what you are talking about;-) )
