  • wow she did ammazing ! and your wife did bludy amaizng or daughter or wateva lol

  • Have any training suggestions for my IG? We have been in agility training for a year he has major problems focusing. He likes to dart off out of the ring and go visit everyone rather than follow me on course. When there are minimal distractions at class, he's quick responsive and fantastic. I give him biljac frozen food treats and have tried to be more interesting than people/dogs outside the ring. He is very treat motivated, but still, treats are not better than people/dogs. Any ideas?

  • I think you should try a really special treat, maybe boiled chicken or cheese. Make sure he only gets it while training. The key is make IGs understand it is training time. Cedar gets into the zone once we start training because we made agility a high reward activity. He gets tons of praise and good treats. I would reward him for keeping with you for 1 jump at first. Add a couple more obstacles and reward, reward, reward. Then add to that. We also use the high five command as a reward.

  • Wow that was great! What a blitzing fast dog, you did a great job in training her! :)

  • is it hard to train IGs to do that good?

  • I think that IGs are fairly easy to train. Cedar is very eager to please and treat motivated (anything for a cookie). It has been a lot of work, but well worth it. With IGs its all about having confidence and focus. Once they have that, they are smart little guys that pick up things very quickly.
