Republicans don't like tough questions. It means that they have to defend their positions, and if we learned anything during the Bush years it's that dissent is unpatriotic.

Plus, if you're being peppered with questions you have to be able to defend your talking points quickly. If you're not telling the full truth to begin with that's difficult.
