Furthermore, since the executive order says that such information should only be distributed on a need-to-know basis, there was no need for Robert Novak to be informed of Valerie Plame's identity, other than to try and malign Joe Wilson's and his credibility. If I had to choose between politics and national security, I would choose national security; apparently Novak would disagree.

Wilson's assertions were all well within his scope as a news contributor and he made no false claims. Furthermore, if a jury found enough evidence to determine that Scooter Libby committed perjury and didn't just have a bad memory, then you have to respect that; that is the American judicial system, the jury is the decider, and if Libby committed a crime, there is no reason he should not be prosecuted.
