@BelayParley I get what you're trying to say about people buying them for fashion and not for the cause, but it's a bit silly to call people stupid for it - at the end of the day, even if they buy for fashionable reasons, the charity support still goes through. Just a suggestion that you probably shouldn't turn the tables on yourself and make yourself look like the stupid one by thinking so narrowly. i participated in this activity at my college and let me tell you. it wasn't just doing something for a good cause, but an eye-opening experience. i walked bare-footed for 2 hours and gave up because I was being judged and made fun of left and right, and now I understand how the world views people who are without shoes or don't have any necessities. they are seen as pathetic, dumb, and worthless. i will express my empathy for others, not through a fashion statement, but through my actions.
LOL if i could i would do that EVERYDAY. except with socks....i did that for 2 weeks at school but my parents and teachers were making me wear shoes...

everybody in my school supported this and didnt wear shoes in school....my teachers thought we were weird...but it was worth it :)
