  • Hey, this is Newman. We did a buildup a couple years ago on a lil 86 ranger. We built a 347 stroker with ford motorsport alum. heads, 1050 dom. and a c4 auto. Didnt like trucks before, but that one made a believer of me. Keep on doin what you are doin.

  • sweet i just trade my ranger for a 67 f100 custom bab swb 400 big block white just like tht

  • ahhh! very nice! Used to have a 67 stepside myself! No v-8 tho!

  • yea my engine in my 84 F150 is also from a 1990 mustang. People keep telling me it won't work good in a truck but I have had bigger cams in trucks before and it was fine. I guess if it does kill the torque I could just do a gear swap. lol

  • i don't really see where it would make too much of a difference about the mustang cam in a truck. Most people just have to try to be right you know. lol but yeah if worse came to worse you could always re gear it.

  • How does that cam work for ya? I am think of running that cam but people are telling me that it will kill the bottom end power since I have a stock geared 4x4. What do you think?

  • it does well for me. this engine came out of a 90' mustang originally. It has great low end torque. the top end is fair with it, but i can't really say because i hav'nt got to drive this truck yet(still a work in progress), but when i had this engine in my mustang, it would lay one hell of a burnout, so that tells you it has good torque, but the car was also regeared.
