  • Let me out of this box.

  • They were reading some Chinese history and Dr. Harris (sp?) asks him what he thought of the man he was hearing about. A Chinese Emperor I think.

    Proteus responds that he things nothing of the man, because his business practices, his wall building (maybe the Emperor who built the Great Wall?) and his "book burning" are just variables in an equation who's benefits are exactly 0.

    He basically flat out says the Emperor is worthless, and thus implies he thinks so of all human life.

  • @RojOdio If Proteus thought that human beings were worthless it wouldn't have worked so hard to become one. Nor would it have bothered to come up with cures for human diseases. It was referring to certain human endeavors and expressing its view about them, not the beings existence itself.

  • @GenerationXT I thought he assumed a human body at the end simply because he wanted to escape his "box". Curing diseases was simply something he had to do.

  • i cant make out exactly what he says... whats happened here?
