@june201955 I can't say what time of day the slot hit more frequently, but I can say they seem to hit more frequently at slower times.  Sun-Thurs. First thing in the morning, 10AMish. Llate at night., 2AM to 6AM. Just my unscientifically proven opinion.

Those Top Dollar machines are like a rash all over Vegas; every casino has them. But they are wildly volatile. Glad you hit; dont know if i would have the courage to play the $100 version though; you need to play 2 coins to get the bonus!

I finally found a top dollar machine and played it. I wasn't going to play it at first because it was a $25 machine but I decided to do it anyway. First pull nothing. Second Pull I hit the Bonus game. I won $2500 on my second offer so I kept that. The first offer was $500. When the second one came it was the $2500 by itself. I was like " WTF." I tried to make sure I didnt hit the wrong button because I was slightly drunk hahaha. Cache Creek Casino never hits for me but it did that day. :)

I'm in the bay area. Only 1 casino has that top dollar machine and its that $1 one that I described. I'm thinking for $20 dollars a pull and instead of credits as the award its (X)times line bet i'm sure it would be a really good pay out. I've never really had good luck with IGT machines though. I like the $5 quick hits since i've had better luck with those. Getting the quick hit progressive is at least $2000 over here and i've hit it a couple of times.

Nice hits. I'd play the Top Dollar machines if they had them here but the only ones they have here are the 5 reel 20 line $1 machine. Have you ever played those? I put $500 and didn't even get the bonus once. You have to get 3 of the top dollar symbols on a payline. If you get 5 you automatically get the highest award (3000xline bet) which is 60k. I usually play the quick hit machines because those are the ones I get the most winnings from especially the $10 machine.

When you play the $100 slots especially Top Dollar, how much would you say your average "spend" is before you hit something? Just curious because maybe I need to change up my denomination strategy!!!

I would say on these Top Dollar machines I might put in $2000 before I hit something. On this one I put in $1000 and hit it after I had spent $800 of that $1000. My other Top Dollar jackpots have been hit on less than that. Of course, there are smaller jackpots that I've hit on these machines that I don't post because they're not that interesting, but just about any combination win on a $100 machine is a jackpot. In Nevada any amount over $1200 won is a jackpot and they give you a tax form.

As far as denomination is concerned, the higher the denomination machine you can play the better. If a $1machine and a $.25 machine are both programmed to keep 10% of each play on average, the house would make $.30on one play of the $1 machine and only $.7 1/2 cents on a quarter machine so the casinos make the higher denominations slots looser than the lower. The house has to keep over 4 times the amount bet on a $.25 machine as a $1 machine to make the same profit. Higher looser lower tighter.

I have played a nickle machine just like the one you describe. Pretty much though, the only one I will play are the $10, $25 or $100 three reels. Last time in Vegas I did play the 20 line nickel machines but never go the bonus. Where are you that doesn't offer the three reel ones?

I have most definately made a profit. Look at one of my other videos. I don't spend much time at a machine. If it doesn't hit pretty quick at these denominations, they aren't going to hit. Besides, I never play them until I am already up. So the money I'm using is money I've won either on the tables or on other poker/slot machines.

Glad to hear that, i've had a serious gambling problem myself and i just coulldn't stop playing the slots, i'm sure you're aware it gives an adrenaline rush to win, guess thats what so addiciting, doesn't help that i really love playing arcade games either :p

As i grew older i realized that Slots are configured to have you lose in the long run, but yeah, as you said, if they don't hit pretty fast they won't hit at all. Sometimes you can tell if a machine is "primed" for payout :-)

@prefix331 Dont believe everything you hear. Anyone who gambles at slots on a regular basis is always behind and know matter how nice it sounds you cannot stay ahead of the game. You might for a month or 2 if your lucky but after 1 year? Some can do pretty good at tables consistantly .. I should know from a heavy playing record the past 7years all over the country. @bonusqueenDeb As a fellow smart player I can tell you their is a negative side some wheres..Knowone wins 1,000-5,000 at tables or etc then takes it to slots for 200 a pull and always wins on a few clicks and never plays that back. Common logic says if we gambled to win more then what happens when we dont win?(and it happens to everyone unless you take a 1shot deal and never play again) It sounds good to always be ahead and make a living from it but its fantasy.
