I played Fantasie Impromptu, without pauses or mistakes. and I even chromatics fast and perfectly.. even pedal usage.. i didnt even get 3rd. First was a kid who played Liszt's La campanella -_-

2nd place was a kid who played guitar and performed super mario themes. wow.

I played this at a concert once... But I didn't play the whole thing. FYI, not many people have time to practise more than 1-2hours a day and I don't think she has and that's fine, not to mention the nerves that people get performing in front of people! By the way, I was indeed kind on my previous analysis.

Not only her phrasing is poor; the legato is inconsistent, the polyrhythms on the exposition are simply preposterous, as well as the chromatic scales. No emphasis whatsoever on the predominant voice; no rubatos, no correct use of sustain pedal, terrible posture.

Resuming: this performance is below mediocrity. She is not prepared to endure such a demanding piece- and bear in mind that there are much more demanding pieces than this one.
