Clarke is still a disgrace to this very day. The only time Clarke was "tough" was when he was playing non fighting Soviet players in the Summit Series. Clarke is like one of those punks that start crap knowing that his buds will "hold him back." He'd always hide behind his goons. Tiger would've destroyed Clarke.
Main....I was a fan when I was a kid....as I got older - grew some morals - lol - I realized that you're right....his comment about Neilson really showed his true colours...."we didn't tell the guy to go out and get cancer".....what a jack ass.
the flyers should have never been in vancouver in the first place. i have never seen them out there. stay east, guys, because this looks strange to my eyes

what the fuck you talking about, he took on like 5 guys you fucking idiot, bobby is a spazz he wants a fight he gets it and win so you beter shut the fuck up and watch the fight agian you fag
Watch the fight again??...I'd prb puke watching that pussy ass FAG Clark pretend he can fight....take on 5 guys?? WTF are you talking about? He couldn't take on 5 girls. Thats why his goons were always around to protect his sorry ass. So STFU!!
Typical Flyers fan, I presume. I don't think you get the point. Though Clarke took on many players, he ALWAYS had enforcers/goons surrounding him. It's no wonder why Clarke was a fucking joke. He's always exaggerated on how he "can fight". Bull, Bobby, cut the fucking crap.
dude after williams retired he played oldtimers league against my dad and he got in a fight w/ him.. then he had to go to anger management classes ROFL
When Williams was with Vancouver he got into a fight with a player whose name I forget. Williams kept his gloves on and started turtling while the other guy kept pounding him. The crowd wasn't happy with Williams but in the end the other guy got a 5 minute major while Williams got nothing. It was hilarious!
Nice! I would love to see that one. He once suckerpunched Tom McCarthy of the North Stars so badly I think Tom ended up with dozens of stitches. He's still one of my favorites to watch. A true mad man. The really funny part of this video is seeing Behn Wilson standing peacefully next to Tiger. Usually they would be pounding each others' faces in when in that close of proximity to each other! Let me know if you recall the other guy in Tiger's turtling escapade!
Knob-Job Bobbie Clarke is the guy who instigated fights with cheap-shot chops to the backs of guys legs and then hid behind his goon teammates - this guy is a gutless maggot puke - should be hall of flamer, not hall of famer, what an embarrassing nappy-eaded perm boy...
i could see mel bridgeman looking for a dance partner. this guy was one of the toughest flyers ever. maybee the toughest. doubt if tiger williams would mess with him.
Williams would have had no problem fighting Bridgman. Williams had a pretty good fight card over the years..he fought a lot of tough dudes.
Toughest Flyer EVER would probably be Dave Brown, followed closely by Behn Wilson. Others would include Cochrane, Holmgren, Brashear, Schultz, etc. Bridgman was a pretty good fighter, but not in Wilson's league. Wilson was a beast. Brown was extremely dangerous as well.
never said he was the best fighter, just one of the toughest as far as brute strength, fearlessness, physicality and aggressiveness. and a pretty good fighter at that. can't remember seeing him lose a fight. as for Williams, yes he took on a lot of tough guys over his career but i've also seen him take some poundings. and when you say he would have had no problem fighting Bridgeman, do you mean fighting him or actually beating him? would have been a decent go. i'd put my money on Mel.
@ProbertFire Really? I thought it would have been Schultz. He held the Flyers (and NHL's) record for PIM in a season with 472 in 74-75. I do remember Dave Brown being a goon but I don't know how many penalty minutes he held. I don't seem to remember it being more than the Hammer's.
@albertarn Brown didn't have the penalty totals Schultz had, but he was probably the most feared pure fighter in Flyers' histroy. Behn Wilson would have to be ranked up there too. Schultz fought some tough guys and deserves some credit for sure, but Brown was dangerous and rightly feared. Schultz gets a lot of disrespect here, but that's usually by idiots who don't know how TOUGH it is to FIGHT for a living. I didn't like Schultz, but I give him tons of credit..he was tough.
yes he was fearless, no doubt. but he probably lost at least half of his fights. so what the fuck are YOU talking about. or do you know what you're talking about. sorry but you don't you're hockey history. so shut you're fucking trap asshole
You have no idea what you're talking about...and watch the asshole comments..but I guess it takes one like you to spew the shit that you're farting out.
Two seasons with 35 and 30 goals. a few with 20 goals, and Tiger could upset a whole team and get them off their game. You don't know what you are talking about, so best to shut your mouth and open your ears instead
i heard alot about those days

@connorrulz I believe this was 1981. The Cooperalls came @ the start of the 81-82 season so this would have been early '81.
