Nothing wrong with VISTA if you know how to tweak it. I am a PC Engineer of many years and Vista does what its supposed to. I do agree though that XP Rocks and will always remain my favourite OS. Shame support for it ends in Apr 2014.

When I heard this song, I think back to 04 or 05, I was 10 years old, when my father bought me the computer I am currently using (emachines) with Windows XP on it. I was only ten at the time but I was so into my computer and loved using MSN, AOL, and playing computer games. I love how smoothly everything ran and the sweet backgrounds and icons. Everything seemed so perfect. I'm 17 now and I am not tired of this XP at all. I'm gonna install it on every computer I get in the future. RIP Dad.

Vista really isn't that bad of an OS--it's just gotten a bad hype...just like MSFS 2000 (anybody remember that fiasco? I'm dating myself here) Good game, terrible execution on Micro's part. Vista is much the same way--it's really a great OS, but you have to have a beefier system than what was originally advertised, and that put some people off. 7 isn't the magic system, it's just what Vista would be with a few more bells-and-whistles, with the hardware catching up to the software.

Agree 100%. Besides Linux, Windows XP (and compatible OS made by microsoft) have all the best homebrew and opensource applications as well...

I remember using XP when I was younger. XP was very stable, didn't crash out very often like Vista did. When I got my laptop for my graduation gift, it came with Vista. So, I ran Vista for almost 3 years, and just got 7 yesterday. 7 is pretty stable, but, no matter what happens, XP will be number 1 for a long time. :)
