How is your carbon buildup? Hope you haven't given up. I just installed one of craigs burner conversions on a brand new lennox downdraft . Works very well.
Still building up... I put an 8" liner in it and the furnace runs very clean, but the nozzle builds up every couple of days. I cut the side of the furnace open and put a door on it so it is quick to clean...Getting better all the time...Fine tuning
wow that filtration system is ornate, looks like it cost a bundle too sheesh. It always dismays me to see such claptrap, when some cheap water filters and and old pair of polyester pants can do it better in less space. To dananderika: Fire up the burner out in the yard, watch the nozzle for drippling as it burns. If the mist isn't correct off the nozzle (not hot enough) then it will drip.
this is awesome! I am in the process of turning my Lenox oil furnace with a Beckett AFG burner to run on WVO. I have got It running but get tons of smoke and soot going up the stack. had to wrap the nozzle assembly with heat wire to get it to fire up. any suggestions?
