How to Use Nuendo : Setting Up a Project In Nuendo: Part 2

When I start recording, the instrument notes are not recorded on time, they always start late. How do I fix this problem? My latency is at 10ms using emu asio/0404. This is driving me crazy. Help please

do you know what dithering is no one records in 16 bit like you say 24 or 32 bit then you go sixteen only for cds you loose bits other wise

Due to its marketing Cubase is for Song Creation.

Nuendo is for Song Mixing However you can create songs in it as well. Currently Version 5 of Cubase has some cool productions additions where as Ver 4 of Nuendo has more Post and Mixing Featues.

Cubase comes from the Legacy of being the Producers tool

Cubase started off by Midi+ AUDIO

where as Nuendo Started off Audio+ Midi But now Nuendo is the Better Product for my needs

You must be a producer and not en engineer No real engineer would say this!

They would speak of Pro tools or Sadie or SSL and Tape

but not FL studio. and NO they would not say Logic or DP either

Logic is more of a Producers Tool not an Engineer's tool

Notice how it seems that Logic and DP seem to be friends of Pro tools. Most folks that use these apps have or had Pro tools

Cubase would be more for audio, whereas Nuendo is used by most in conjunction with video and post-production for film/video.

Wrong Cubase is used by folks who cant aford nuendo.

Cubase learns toward the producer ( creating songs )

Nuendo leans Toward the Producer ( Audio Editing Mixing )

now Cubase and Nuendo constantly Leapfrog eachother

Nuendo will allways end up with all of Cubase's features where as Cubase will allways be behind Nuendo

The notion that someone can't afford Nuendo is why they go to Cubase is ridiculous. Nuendo and Cubase, while they overlap, are used for different things. I producer may not need all the additional bells and whistles that Nuendo has. To spend the additional 500+USD on it out of some classist idea that Nuendo = you got money, is ridiculous. A film production/post-production company that uses Steinberg will have Nuendo, sooner than Cubase. This is what I see having worked at film prod comps.

thats only due to the cost of nuendo vs Cubase! With that said Most folks at home will buy cubase

Most pros that do this for a living in a public or professional Environment will use Nuendo if not that Pro tools

or something along the same lines
