  • Thank you for this righteous song!

  • Wow, Wikipedia wasn't shitting around when they said "My Babe" was based off of this tune... Too bad you can't find the Rosetta Tharpe original on youtube...

  • Love this song...first heard it off of a carleton pearson live at azuzas. you sound great...break the shyness and let the camera see your face....

  • I heard a lot of (probably unintentional)Elvis quality in your voice.

How about doing 'That's all right, Mama" or "I've Got A Woman"?

    And really lay it on!

  • Well done!

    Thank you from Canada

  • super gespielt!

  • super!!!!

  • Wooooo You got some talent and A whole lotta soul!

  • Whats the tuning? Standard?

  • yup

  • dude you've inspired me to try and leran some ragtime!.. last time I tried I learnt 1 song and drove my roommates crazy..that alternating base is killer. nice one

  • Thank You for taking the time to record and post this. One of my favorite songs from Sister.

I was listening to her earlier while driving.

Now I can listen to your version too.

    Amazing style.

    Thank You!

  • This is awesome, it's so great to see you posting videos again. And if you're taking requests, would love to see you tackle another reverend Gary Davis tune...

  • Sweet stuff. Wish I could jam with you sometime. But I'm sure it would be much more beneficial to me; your playing is on a whole other level than mine!

  • Awesome job!

  • Excellent as always!

  • awesome how you keep the bassline going all the time

  • I really enjoy your playing. Could you suggest any good books or anything to help me learn some syncopated blues stuff?

  • not sure...maybe find some sessions/players to tag along with and try to learn as much as you can through them and by ear...listening is the most important thing...

    glad you like it..

  • guitarvideos (dot) com and homespuntapes (dot) com could also get you started. but for sure, as the man says, listening is definitely the most important thing.

  • @Meursault86 dude, pay for some lesons in your area with a fingerpicker of some kind, once you get the basics it's downhill from there.

  • That really is brilliant! Great cover - great bit of singing & playing together too.
