I totally forgot about the Canadian Tire. It is now a Shoppers Drug Mart and has been for years. Didn't even think about the cars until someone mentioned it. The Days Inn is gone but the building and motel are still there and it looks the same. So much empty space compared to today.
Canada Trust built a new building in the vacant area opposite Canadian Tire before merging with Toronto Dominion and moving across the road. The Days Inn isn't there anymore. The drive in theater near the 401 had already been demolished by this time. Knob Hill Farms hadn't been built yet (opposite the Days Inn). I think this was a Sunday which explains the lack of cars - no Sunday shopping in 1987!
