Bottom line is, Metalcore is hardcore with metal influences therefore making it a subgenre of hardcore and has no real association with metal.

There are two sides of metalcore. The scene fagget bands, and the metal bands.. Which may not be considered metal, but good metalcore bands require shit tons of skills: nailing those palm mutes and hitting 6 notes simultaneously, being able to double kick like lightning, and being able to hit those bass notes (jks bass is for girls) but seriously I could name at least 1000 scene metalcore bands and name a few good ones. Listen to "parallels" by as I lay dying (it's good past the intro)

They are GOOD Metal Core. Off time signatures, very complicated chord progression, and very unique riffs. Your a tool.
