Getting £10 for doing a minutes work in a pub is a pretty good line of work! You could wear padding under your clothes too so it wouldn't be so bad when you got punched!
Episodes like this one makes me wonder why the showed is called "Frasier"...From the moment Niles and Daphne got together, they stole the show more and more.
I dont think the writers of this episode were emulating brits in general just a dysfunctional family, every culture has one of those. For me i interpreted it as an opposites attract because daphne's parents didnt get along but Martin loved his wife until death. So now two children raised in two distinctive environments found each other.
I can understand Daphne's POV, she had her heart seat on her parents getting back together, but wanted them to get back together by her hands, not Niles'. She doesn't appreciate Niles' help or assistance until her father shows her what it meant to him. This ep, and the one before it make me want Frasier and Roz to get together even more than I previously did.
@Kherudjhuti It is very tiring how there can never be any conflict between Niles and Daphne. In almost every episode, if there's a bit of conflict between them, they patch it up within 2 mins.
@TheBookVlogger I'm sure it could be, as long as not ALL women interpret that kind of romance as neediness and find it unattractive somehow, whereas the man becomes afraid of doing romantic gestures of such magnitude. And I'm pretty sure that not all women are like that, and that there are couples out there like Daphne and Niles ^^ Oh, and the man would have to not be afraid of showing his love, something that clashes with our society's ideals :( Which stem from women though probably, yeah.
@koukouroukou7484 I understand. haha You are way too young to be bitter. If you are single at 40 then you are allowed to be as bitter as you want . haha
@jkilts You want a girl like Daphne without her crazy family you mean. haha Trust me I don't care how amazing a woman is if she comes with a psycho family you will regret every minute of it. haha They are a package deal most of the time..
@jkilts Could be anything!! If your christian, trust God, think about how maybe your not ready yet? Besides, dont feel bad...you dont just want "a lady" you want "a Daphne".
So am I the only one who wants to know what Frasier did just before the end that Roz could have done without? Maybe my mind isnt broad enough to imagine what it could be.
If I was frasier I would be so much more angry that Niles, Daphne and her parents managed to get me banned for life from my favourite restaurant and offered no apology.
@felicitatumfortunae Exactly; what the hell was that? After all the crap Frasier did for them in the early stages of their relationship HE is the one sympathising with Niles and being sensitive to a stroppy Daphne. Absolutely offered no apology having got him banned from one of his favourite haunts.
So what if your parents are separated? Daphne moved 5 thousand miles away, and she complains when she visits them. So would Daphne really care that much if they separated? Not believable at all
No wonder Daphne so kooky. If I had to live with Mr. and Mrs. Moon, AND eleven brothers including Simon, I'd be ten times more insane than she is. I guess that's another thing Niles and Daphne have in common -- living with people you could never imagine living with for far too long to be healthy.
@g9yx1s I don't hate him as much as Gertrude, but that's because he only appears in this episode. Gertrude would be damn funny too if she only appeared once or twice, and Harry would be irritating as fuck if he kept reappearing like she did. But I'll bet that barrywoon guy is probably just a sexist jerk who thinks annoying guys are better than annoying women.
@g9yx1s *snort* some people are just too bitter and resentful to judge fictional characters as individuals instead of by their entire gender, race, class, etc. Mark my words, they do the same thing to people in real life.
I love the show, but I fast forward once daphne's parents pop up. I mean, when frasier or martin complain or fight in several episodes, it still is interesting somehow, wether they still make you laugh or the story wins a depth by the conflict which still keeps it interesting. daphne's parents fail on both for me. sorry to say. And I don't know if it's the writing or the actors, probably both. but every good show got some low points doesn't it, so it's ok.
i am not looking for a big romance, must someone to hold me in cold nights, but i am destined to be in a loveless relationship, no matter how much i give, i'm always taken for granted and at the end i feel as loved as a boring hard boiled egg :(
...just remember not all the men in the world are unromantic...only about 2/3. ;) Personally I am the most romantic man, when I am with the right girl (at the moment -3 strikes so far and i'm out) romance just fills the void. Take care...
@zoriusa You are right, the Hollywood always exagerates romance...true love does exist but it is so rare (like BigFoot) to find it can almost seem like a fantasy. Some people of course have this type of relationship...however people such as myself have yet to find one. Not that I am inadaquate when it comes to romance I have spent the better part of my life looking for that special girl, but lets face it, in two weeks I will be 41 and no children and having Cancer doesn't help. my 2 cents. :(
Thanks for posting this vid. It sucks that not one station plays episodes like this but every once in a great while. Until right now, I haven't seen this episode for at least 2 years on TV. You rock, thanks. :)
@olb852 yes, but unfortunately it exists only in the movies, reality is completely different, there is no such thing as a "man who loves" in the real life!

If you want to know the names of all the episodes, go to google and search 'List of Frasier episodes' on Wikipedia. They're all there.
They have episode lists of every show you can think of - all on Wiki. BTW, the next Frasier episode is called 'The Ring Cycle'.
