@TheLepec93 That is what many would like you to believe. They are completely legal, provided you jump through the hoops the ATF has set up. Basically you have to send in an application form, and $200, and you can purchase one if you are approved. That is a very abbreviated version of what it takes, but it's not too difficult. The real obstacle is that they cost an arm and a leg because of the 1986 ban on importation and manufacture. CHEAP ones are around 5-6 THOUSAND dollars.

I'm very embarrassed that Sen. Martin Looney would be so arrogant to ban the "handling" of a machine gun by anyone under 16. If I slip and fall outside, hit my head on the sidewalk and die, will he ban sidewalks? It was an accident. Thousands of minors have shot machine guns! An unfortunate accident kills one child and the knee-jerk reaction is to enact this ban. I sure hope he's proud of himself. Just another sliver of freedom that he's stolen from Americans.
