Going to a Catholic university doesn't make one a Catholic anymore than going to a secular school makes one irreligious. They have no conversion requirement at ones in the US, Notre Dame for example has Muslims (even a Muslim Student Association), Protestants, atheists, etc. And it is common for non-Catholics to attend Catholic parochial lower education schools when the public ones are poor in their district.

No they didn't. Check the Concordat (article 32), Hitler made the Catholic Church stay out of politics because the Catholic Center Party had been his main rival. When Abbot Schaleiter wrote that in a church publication that "Nazis adhered staunchly to the principles of Christianity," he was banned from celebrating mass for the rest of his life!

Gott mit Uns means God's with us, not go with God. In Germany it was associated with Protestant Prussia, and had long been a military motto there. "Gott schutze Dich" is the German equivalent to saying "Go with God" or 'God speed'

That is because the process to leave the church is takes some effort in Germany, so like Sweden, a large amount of non-believers never bother leaving the church. Even so, the SS encouraged Nazis to leave the church causing 1939, 1937, and 1938 to be, by far, the biggest years of church leaving in Germany since records began to be taken in the 1870s.
Even before, since Germany had already undergone large-scale secularization like France, religious participation was very low

Going to a Catholic university doesn't make one a Catholic anymore than going to a secular school makes one irreligious. They have no conversion requirement at ones in the US, Notre Dame for example has Muslims (even a Muslim Student Association), Protestants, atheists, etc. And it is common for non-Catholics to attend Catholic parochial lower education schools when the public ones are poor in their district.

You aren't allowed to take communion if you aren't in communion with the Church, but obviously if the priest doesn't notice, you will physically be able to do it; there is no ID system (see Sally Quinn for example),
Also, in one instance Hillary and her husband (back when he was president) did in South Africa, because the S. African bishops ruled it was OK for non-Catholics in certain instances to receive communion, which the Vatican struck down after the incident.

Don't forget that Pope Pius XII was praised by many Jews for his efforts to save Jews from death camps. Albert Einstein being one of them. Pius XII also publicly condemned Nazi policy in two more times, in his Christmas messages in 1941 and 1942. He was praised by the New York Times, for both of them.

And "Gott mit uns" on 1:46 is a motto from Prussia, the Protestant part of Germany. And the KKK 1:54 was traditionally anti-Catholic. Many of the 'priest' pictures were of Protestants, not Catholics and so on. In fact :52 was the most powerful Protestant in Nazi Germany. The church did excommunicate hitler back in the early 30s the german bishops excommunicated all active nazi members, and since this included Hitler, the church excommunicated Hitler. Also what about all the protestant nazi members?

Its known as twisting the truth... Catholics were amongst the people who were persecuted under Hitler.. Disagreements led to reprisals against innocent people (e.g., against gentile Catholics, but especially against Jews who had converted to Catholicism) while having no effect on Hitler other than angering him. Also Catholic buildings were being used to hide Jews, which didn't work when they were investigated obviously. Furthermore, thousand of Polish priests (16% of all priests in the entire country) were killed during the Nazi occupation.

Also, priests still have to minster to their flock, which Hitler restricted (closing seminaries and Catholic schools) when they did political things that Hitler didn't approve of. That was the whole point of the Concordat; priests don't act political and Nazis let them worship and congragate (though it was too much for Hitler who first violated it less than a month later)
