What a gorgeous angel! I am inexpressibly sorry for you loss. My beloved cat Muffin passed away last year, also at 3 years old and from a heart issue. We took her to the vet to get her spayed and after the operation, she awoke and couldn't breathe. My heart died with her that day. As I burried her, the rain disguised my tears. im so sorry!! before i was born, my mom bought a cat named Zita. she had a great life, and she led my mom through her pregnancy, her marriage, and moving around from place to place. she was there when i was born, and i didn't know life without her until she died this Wednesday. pets create a little fuzzy and warm place in your heart, and when they pass, that little warm feeling just sort of dies away/ R.I.P Zita (February 1991-December 2011)

I can't imagine what you are going thru. Few weeks ago, for no reason, I tried imagining what it would be like when mine will be gone one day and the thought alone caused me severe pain. well, i don't know how to tell you this, but precious was an angel in kitty body and had to return to heaven. just one look at him, and it's obvious he's an angel. you'll see him again.
I also had a cat like you ... And he also died very sudden ... He jumped up and that was it! He died in my arms, his nose so white ... it was terrible!
My cat's name was Ofoe. He reached the age of one year.
But in that year he touched our hearts with so much love and trust he puts in us.

I lost my Turkish Angora about a month ago. He was only six years old. He went to the vet because he was unable to go to the bathroom. They told me he had bladder blockage and he wasn't at any risk of dying. Two weeks later all of his organs were shutting down. My life will never be the same without him. Bailey was my whole world. I'm very sorry for your loss and love the video you put together. You've inspired me to create my own memorial video.

She was diagnosed with an abnormal heart problem 8 months before she passed. She was on medication twice a day, every day, and took it from me (in a pill form) without ever putting up a fuss. She was an amazing and beautiful spirit. As I watched your video of Precious, so many of his expressions reminded me of my beautiful Angel.

He's really beautiful. I have a little cat that I'm quite sure is a Turkish Angora, if not 100% then virtually all. she's almost all black with a little white spot at her throat if you can find it in the ruff and scttered individual white hairs. I actually found her at animal Care and Control and just saw something very special in her. I don't really know if I picked her or she picked me. Your Precious's expression reminds me of hers.

@DannyCats Your video put a tear in my eye. I lost a cat to HCM unexpectedly back in 1998, and more recently I lost a cat to mammary cancer & HCM. We had surgery for the cancer and managed her HCM with medication for 5 months, but the cancer returned to claim her life in January 2010. I've been trying to get my photos in order for her, and your video is inspiring. My cats are my best friends, and they teach me so much about the important things in life. Blessings >^..^<

I wanted a more active breed to join my Birman family of two. I was going to contact Turkish Angora breeders (USA) until I saw your video and saw that Precious died from HCM. Not willing to take a chance I decided to get a Turkish Van kitten instead. Thank you for posting all your videos of Precious. His personality always shines though on each video and he speaks to the heart. Your other fur babies are beautiful.
My heart goes out to you.. I have lost cats before and frankly it's the saddest times of my life. I have had my cat Chubby now for 8 years since the day he was born, and he is my life.. I do not know what I will do when he passes, but I do know my heart will die with him. No one can truly understand what is between a cat and yourself-except yourself and your cat. It's the most "Precious" bond.. I cherish it with all of my heart.
This made me cry because my Brown tabby TA died of the same exact thing. He was only a year old and it was so sudden. He died in my arms and we didn't know what happened until after he died. He had been to the vet for shots and check ups and never found anything! Apparently it's hard to find until too late. To top it all off he died this past Christmas eve. I still miss him so much!
i couldn't even make the 1st 45sec! I have a medium hair. she's very old & obese. She's had a horrible beginning of life! My brothers could only rescue her and her two brothers, Boots & Tea. they're gone but that's another story

this reminds me of my cat marshmellow he died back in january of this year he was white green eyes and he was way too young too he was 6 i took care of him for a month he couldnt walk or any thing i even stayed home from school to take care of him but than on january 26 i woke up and he was in his box next to me dead it turns out that he had an inlarged heart and a bladder infection
I also lost an Angora - I got him as an adult. Only 4 months later, he also died, very suddenly. He was only 3 years old - I miss him so much! My sympathy re your loss.

As a breeder of Turkish Angoras. I understand your loss & can even relate but I've to say there's really no reliable HCM testing available at this time. Other problem it seems to be sex related & mostly happens to males while the girls remain fine & have a normal life span. The current testing involves sedation with EKG to test for HCM but again it's not reliable or cheap & even tested negative we still have kittens develop it. When there is case its noted as its very sporadic in the gene pool.
BUT CFA Winn Foundation is making steps tores a test thru DNA but they need donations & support as this is a very rare & ancient breed. So when you donate make sure you say it's for the TA- HCM Study. We as breeders love this ancient breed very much & it's very frustrating & heart breaking to get that call even though we tested the parents & grandparents with negative results. Again Im very sorry for your loss & I can RELATE with you. I had a fur buddy who I found one morning gone.

I got Janey only 2 1/2 months ago at 6 weeks old and already she has become my whole world and changed my life tremendously. I smoked cigarettes since I was 19 but I wouldn't dare taint her little lungs from second hand smoke, so I quit. She's the light of my life and I won't CONCEIVE of my life without her. We have 3 cats who are family. But we lost our beloved dog last year. it STILL hurts like hell. And I still cry for her. So I KNOW your pain. I hope you continue to heal. You never get over it. I lost my Turkish Angora about a month ago. He was only six years old. He went to the vet because he was unable to go to the bathroom. They told me he had bladder blockage and he wasn't at any risk of dying. Two weeks later all of his organs were shutting down. My life will never be the same without him. Bailey was my whole world. I'm very sorry for your loss and love the video you put together. You've inspired me to create my own memorial video.

Thank you for sharing this video. I came across it unexpectedly, and cried the whole way through. I lost my Turkish Angora "Angel" a year and 2 months ago. She was diagnosed with an abnormal heart problem 8 months before she passed. She was on medication twice a day, every day, and took it from me (in a pill form) without ever putting up a fuss. She was an amazing and beautiful spirit. As I watched your video of Precious, so many of his expressions reminded me of my beautiful Angel.

He's really beautiful. I have a little cat that I'm quite sure is a Turkish Angora, if not 100% then virtually all. she's almost all black with a little white spot at her throat if you can find it in the ruff and scttered individual white hairs. I actually found her at animal Care and Control and just saw something very special in her. I don't really know if I picked her or she picked me. Your Precious's expression reminds me of hers.

@DannyCats Your video put a tear in my eye. I lost a cat to HCM unexpectedly back in 1998, and more recently I lost a cat to mammary cancer & HCM. We had surgery for the cancer and managed her HCM with medication for 5 months, but the cancer returned to claim her life in January 2010. I've been trying to get my photos in order for her, and your video is inspiring. My cats are my best friends, and they teach me so much about the important things in life. Blessings >^..^<

I wanted a more active breed to join my Birman family of two. I was going to contact Turkish Angora breeders (USA) until I saw your video and saw that Precious died from HCM. Not willing to take a chance I decided to get a Turkish Van kitten instead. Thank you for posting all your videos of Precious. His personality always shines though on each video and he speaks to the heart. Your other fur babies are beautiful.

My heart goes out to you.. I have lost cats before and frankly it's the saddest times of my life. I have had my cat Chubby now for 8 years since the day he was born, and he is my life.. I do not know what I will do when he passes, but I do know my heart will die with him. No one can truly understand what is between a cat and yourself-except yourself and your cat. It's the most "Precious" bond.. I cherish it with all of my heart.

This made me cry because my Brown tabby TA died of the same exact thing. He was only a year old and it was so sudden. He died in my arms and we didn't know what happened until after he died. He had been to the vet for shots and check ups and never found anything! Apparently it's hard to find until too late. To top it all off he died this past Christmas eve. I still miss him so much!

I miss my turkish angora =-[ she was deaf and just plain out beautiful just like your cat...i think they are all just beautiful!
she got a flea on her and was highly allergic to them =-[ she ended up dying from that one little flea, miss her so much =-[

i couldn't even make the 1st 45sec! I have a medium hair. she's very old & obese. She's had a horrible beginning of life! My brothers could only rescue her and her two brothers, Boots & Tea. they're gone but that's another story

this reminds me of my cat marshmellow he died back in january of this year he was white green eyes and he was way too young too he was 6 i took care of him for a month he couldnt walk or any thing i even stayed home from school to take care of him but than on january 26 i woke up and he was in his box next to me dead it turns out that he had an inlarged heart and a bladder infection

I also lost an Angora - I got him as an adult. Only 4 months later, he also died, very suddenly. He was only 3 years old - I miss him so much! My sympathy re your loss.

Ask the breeder if their cats are tested on HCM and ask if you can look at the test results.

As a breeder of Turkish Angoras. I understand your loss & can even relate but I've to say there's really no reliable HCM testing available at this time. Other problem it seems to be sex related & mostly happens to males while the girls remain fine & have a normal life span. The current testing involves sedation with EKG to test for HCM but again it's not reliable or cheap & even tested negative we still have kittens develop it. When there is case its noted as its very sporadic in the gene pool.

BUT CFA Winn Foundation is making steps tores a test thru DNA but they need donations & support as this is a very rare & ancient breed. So when you donate make sure you say it's for the TA- HCM Study. We as breeders love this ancient breed very much & it's very frustrating & heart breaking to get that call even though we tested the parents & grandparents with negative results. Again Im very sorry for your loss & I can RELATE with you. I had a fur buddy who I found one morning gone.

My Turkish Angora just dropped dead yesterday. He was 18 years old, so I think it was old age. It really sucked, I had him since I was a kid. It was like a chunk of my childhood was taken away from me in a heartbeat. R.I.P. Noid.

Today I saw in the newspaper that many people in my neighbourhood had lost their cats in the same week! About 15 dissapear! Its rather strange and an investigation is done cause it seens like a group rape cats to sell them to laboratory for experiment. Its insane and I dont like to think that my cat might suffer now.... How far can human go to make money with alive beings...

Wow. I can't stop sobbing. I'm so sorry you lost your precious cat. My God! He was gorgeous! I got Janey only 2 1/2 months ago at 6 weeks old and already she has become my whole world and changed my life tremendously. I smoked cigarettes since I was 19 but I wouldn't dare taint her little lungs from second hand smoke, so I quit. She's the light of my life and I won't CONCEIVE of my life without her. I'm so sad for you. =(

We just lost our cat, due to her body's inabiliy to cope with the anesthetic and I also felt compelled to post a video.
Although we had her for such a short time she brought immense joy to our lives.
