Truth is, the WSOP Main Event is not poker. It eventually becomes it in later stages, but most of the early days are lottery shove matches. When I play there, I don't play the Main Event. I prefer the PL Omaha and other hold-em tourneys.

@patg316 How do you figure, the main event is a super deep stack tourney. this year the starting chip stack was 30 thousand and blinds began at 50/100. Even if amateurs were shoving... you wouldn't be under any pressure at all to do so with that deep a stack

I understand what you're saying, but people are willing to push the $30000 or tilt after one hand and shove the next. I just never see that lunacy in other hold-em tourneys quite like this. Most amateurs view it as a freeroll since they won their seats online. So, I won't play because it is a shove fest due to the freeroll atmosphere.
