Well, this is a difficult song to edit, and this didn't turned out well. I can see you tried to match the mood of the song with the clips, and i congratulate you from parcially succeeded. Anyway, you need a lot more training yet.
Try not to use the clips randomly, but to make a logical way to the order they are used, a Storyline to the amv. next, try whatching a lot of above average amvs, and try to understand the way they edit, learn from 'em. You can, per exeample, check on my amv to this song, i'm a little above average as an editor. If you need some help, you can ask me, i have no prob with helping others :D

actually, if i remember correctly, the editor of this video asked me for an opinion, so i guess constructive criticism doesn't hurt anyone. Second, about my editing degree, i actually already did some works related to editing. Third, i actually like Final Fantasy, but my nickname is derivated from what my friends actually call me: when i was arround 9 years old, i just loved Sephiroth, so, since then, most ppl, even in real life call me sephi, seph, sephiroth, whatever. about your comment related to training for taking other ppl's work and use it, u probably never heard of the expression "Anime Music Videos". As far as i know, and i dont know that much since my country doesn't take anime very seriously, AMVs are considered a legal art, accepted but most of the anime producers, as u can guess, since there are some world-level AMVs events. So yeah, someone had the work to create football, but u still need to train to play it successfully

I have to agree with you about making a storyline for the amv, but it's harder to do when the song is instrumental.
