  • i couldnt understand a word you said but you def spoke the universal language. A++

  • waarom schiet je met 2 handen? beetje te sterk voor je?

  • and don't shoot 38 in a 44...yes, u can do, but 38 is shorter a bit, and u can make signs on your chamber, causing problem after a few times

  • Excuse me for not being more knowledgeable on the subject, but how is gun ownership in the Netherlands? Hard to acquire a firearm?

  • haha frenchie, single action, double action is the only way to go.

  • @ngm1214 you can take your double action and il take my single action and kill you with my first shot, shootings about accuracy not speed.

  • @jackattackx5225 Oh? Depends on your situation. You can have the most accurate gun in the world and if you ain't putting rounds down the field your basically fucked unless it's a sniper situation then yeah accuracy counts, so yes I agree accuracy is important but I'd prefer a double to single any day of the week, and as for you challenge... no you couldn't :) I'd put two in your chest and one in your head before you'd cock your hammer

  • @ngm1214A Blackhawk costs less than equal quality DA, is more comfortable shooting magnums, tends to have less wear and stretch w/357's, can have 9mm cyl. for cheap ammo. You shoot more and get better, so to me a single action has some advantages too... My dad pulled an old model on a guy trying to break into our house when I was little. The "clickclickclick" of the hammer coming back caused the guy to freeze- no shots needed. It did the job just fine that night.

  • @britishbikes12 lol. imagine the icy chill going up the dude's spine.

  • that looks like an awkward gun to reload

  • @MegaMe96 it's not bad reloading it, it'd be a lot better with a kick out cylinder and speed loaders :P

  • @MegaMe96 He's doing it in an awkward manner. He needs to hold it in his left hand and rotate the cylinder with his left thumb while pulling one round at a time from the box . Locate the ammo box on the right side. To unload the empty shells, rotate it the same way and poke the shells with a rapid motion with the ejector using your right hand. If it had a swing out cylinder, you couldn't remove the .357 cyl. and put in a 9mm cylinder. This gun will fire 9mm too- no moon clips needed.

  • Sellier & Belliot, nice ammo buddy :)

    ( I shoot magtech :(...)

  • i had one of these in 41 magnum. that thing is a hand cannon. it has recoil , climb and the flash was impressive in the dark. you can shoot a 55 gal. drum half submerged and the thing will explode, raining down water. just wished the grip had been a bit bigger though.

  • Another Safety Tip: Don't pull the hammer back, until you're aligning the sights with the target.

  • @marshmelloman1977 Thanks for the tip, didn't noticed untill you said it ;)

  • @marshmelloman1977

He did nothing wrong in the video. His finger was off the trigger, and the firearm was already pointed downrange. You do not have to wait until you're actually aligned on target to cock the hammer. Ruger SA's aren't exactly prone to malfunctions.

  • @marshmelloman1977 More importantly just make sure you are pointed down range. What you were doing was not that bad.

  • @sendmenosigns That is another very good point. Thank you

  • how is the recoil on that when shooting .38 an .357

  • @floressergio1989 With .357 it kicks back harder then with .38, but I like .357 more cause of it's power :P. You must feel it yourself to really understand the recoil of any gun.

  • Who the fuck needs eye protection!!!!!!!!?????? Idiots!

  • @St0ff3l0f So shards of metal and or other shrapnel doesn't get in your eyes, dumbass

  • @St0ff3l0f Everyone needs eye and ear pro.

  • @Jrhoney Yea I know. Just me being an asshole. Sorry :)

  • @St0ff3l0f You need eye protection because revolvers spit out the sides, and can spit burning powder on your face. This is on a normal good revolver, especially a magnum. Also if a squib round sticks a bullet in the barrel and another is fired on top of the obstruction, the gun can burst. Another reason is if a guy is next to you with an automatic, the hot shells will hit you. Now who's an idiot? Doesn't seem like you sent too many rounds downrange before you spouted off.

  • Not 375 it's 357 magnum

  • @Threeaxlejack Well actually, it was .38 Special here :P But, you're right about the .357 magnum ;)

  • haha he looks scaried lol

  • Beautiful gun, really.

  • its like a cross between redneck and rag head

  • @MCGgunnyskull You are so right , lol

  • WHERE IS YOUR EYE PROTECTION DUDE?????

  • @RAINMAN22TP Well, its available there but never use it :P

  • @kaaitj u should be using eye protection at all times

  • @RAINMAN22TP That's true, always do it now

  • Kill it up a notch and fire some .38 Special +p and .38 Special +p+ rounds. ;)

  • Ya...only on the older blackhawks was it unsafe to load all 6 cartridges due to the hammer getting hit and thus making the chambered round go off.

  • Eye protection, please! :)

  • Kaaitj waar kan je deze schiet clubs vinden?

Ik heb op internet gezocht maar ik kon niet goeds vinden ps ik ben 19 jaar goede leeftijd?

  • The loading 5 rounds is actually a rule here in the Netherlands at most(if not all?) gun clubs, which you have to do with EVERY gun (unless they only accept less than 5, obviously) It's so everyone on the range knows exactly how many rounds everyone else has when they start shooting, and knows when someone is empty(if they've been listening), for general safety. So I don't think he loaded 5 rounds just because he thought the Ruger was unsafe =) By the way, I bought one myself just yesterday.

  • Yes it's a rule at more clubs so everybody allways knows when the gun is empty, pure safety rule. But youre not paying attention to another shooter if you're shooting yourself. But the inspector does and he can count with you and the rest. You can load 6 rounds without danger :) if you want. Okay do you like it?

  • @kaaitj

In Italy too, 5 rounds :)

  • nice

  • i have the same one, but the part where i put the bullets wont spin

  • you have this gun but dont even know what a cylinder is? wow.

  • @elwino619 I'm a redneck because I know the parts of a gun before I shoot it? your a dumbass.

  • @jjfizz333 fuck you hick eat shit and die

  • nice gun...thanks for the video....i have a blackhawk in .45 colt...i like it...my favorite pistol.

  • dont listen to the a holes just keep shooting that hog leg and you will do fine

  • I'm surprised your firearms instructor or gun store clerk did not show you how to load & unload a single action revolver.

  • You can load six all you want. That is a Ruger Blackhawk. There is a transfer bar to prevent accidental disharges. It will not fire unless the trigger is fully pressed. Ruger designed it for that reason. Nice revolver. Excellent choice.

  • its one of the fisrt times im using this gun ;)

  • Old single actions had a hammer-mounted firing pin that rested on the chamber under the hammer. Because of that, it was unsafe to carry with a cartridge under the hammer. So the "traditional" way to load was "load 1, skip 1, load 4." Then you would fully cock the hammer and when you lower it would come to rest on the empty chamber. I can see your gun is modern and is safe fully loaded, so don't worry about that. :)Load however you want.

By the way how hard is it to own a gun in the Netherlands?

  • okay, didn't know that. so if i'm right, the hammer-mounted firing pin rested on the cartridge (if you had a cartridge under the hammer)? how old are those singe actions that dont have safety?

its not really hard, first you must be 18, must be a member of a legaly shootclub, not have commited a (big) crime and you must be patient and follow the rules. thats it ;)

BTW my english is not really good, hope you dont mind

  • Right, it rested directly on the cartridge, so if someone dropped the gun, it would probably fire. Most revolvers have the safety now, but not all, so one should always check. It's called a "transfer bar" safety if you want to google it and see the difference. From what I read Ruger started using the safety after the 1960s, so unless yours is 40 years old it should be ok.

Don't worry, your English is great. I don't know Dutch, but I can read some because I speak German.

  • Well, i dont think this one is 40 years old ;) I'm wondering why they dont "copy" the safety from a pistol to a revolver, just with a switch to safe.

okay thnx, which dutch words can you read?

  • Well that's 2 kinds of safeties. The manual (switch) kind of safety keeps the loaded gun from firing if you pull the trigger. On a single action revolver you have to cock it 1st so that's really the safety. The transfer bar keeps it from firing when dropped.

As far as Dutch...in your post above, volgende and bedankt are pretty close to German...Dutch has a lot of words close to English too I think. :-)

  • Okay, well there are allmost no dutch words who sound close to english (as far as i know) but volgende en bedankt are close to german, many words are.

  • Also, you can only (under normal circumstances - and ONLY if you have a valid reason to do so) own 1 handgun each of the same caliber. I.e - One 9mm, one .45ACP etc. Most people won't be able to obtain and own more than 2 or 3 handguns, unless they file for a collector's "license", at which point I am pretty sure they have to be inoperable. Norway stinks in regards to handguns, in particular. Rifles and shotguns are relatively easy to obtain though.

  • Obtaining and owning (legally) handguns in Norway is quite a bit worse, I think. You have to be a member of a handgun club, be minimum 21 years of age and you have to be an active member for at least 6 months (they changed it very recently from 2 frigging years, which I am happy about).

Then, your club leader has to vouch for you in terms of you being able to handle yourself / are mentally stable, then you can send in an application (which costs a fortune) and hopefully get a positive reply.

  • I hope things change for you and your beautiful country. Are most Norwegians anti-gun or do they just want way too many regulations?

  • how do you mean exactly?

  • how do you like the sellier & ballot ammo?

  • .38 special en dus geen .357

  • nee weet ik, ik zei het verkeerd, volgende keer let ik beter op;)

    bedankt voor je comment
