Whether he was a "bad cop", beating down on helpless victims, or a "good cop" protecting the innocent...the fact was if you fucked with the boss man, you had the right to remain silent.
@theking8701 ...What happened was, as I recall, the Boss Man gave Al Snow the cooked dog on a plate, but Al Snow had no idea it was his dog, so he ate some of it, and then Big Boss Man told him it was his dog Pepper, Al Snow freaked out, Big Boss Man beat him up, and after he did so, he tasted the dog meat and said 'taste like chicken' Funny stuff XD
personally, I didn't see Big Boss Man as a heel. Yeah, the fans hated him, but I loved him. I thought he embodied the every-day man. Hell, the guy was a prison guard. Prison guards are not "EVIL" or "SCARY". They are just every day people who look out for the common good of society, like police officers. I would like to see him make the WWE Hall of Fame.
@thespotteddog He was my fav wrestler when i was 8 year old in 1988 (31 right now). I used have an action figure of big boss man. When I listen old theme song (2nd), I cried. I wish he alive so I can meet him in person, of course you too.
@SlavicPurpose07 He was my fav wrestler when i was 8 year old in 1988 (31 right now). I used have an action figure of big boss man. When I listen old theme song (2nd), I cried. I wish he alive so I can meet him in person, of course you too.
A crap theme tune for a great wrestler! Much preferred his old one. One of my favourites from that era, a great character which really suited him. Not too fond of the later angle when he was enforcing's Vince's law. Loved the ball and chain era! His match with Mr Perfect is one of my favourite ever.
@LarryBundyJr i actually prefer this one but i agree with dubbing over the old one but they do it with most of the superstars especially undertaker. it's atrocious.
This theme screams "EVIL, motherfucker. I'll feed you your dog, I'll drag your daddy's casket behind my car, I'll make your momma call you a bastard, and I'll do it all with the same SICK smile." Bossman was the best-ever heel because he embodied the essence of a sociopath. He wasn't the overdone "Badass" like Austin or the cartoonish "Dark Lord" like the Undertaker. A guy like Bossman was something you might actually *encounter* in real life, which is scarier than anything.
Bossman for hall of fame! I mean pretty much his first big feud was with Hogan, so to come in at the top he must have been good! Should have had a championship run at some point...
The Al Snow feud...the Undertaker feud resulting in Bossman getting hanged from the top of the hell in a cell by the Ministry and Brood...this guy was part of some of the best moments from the Attitude era back..
I remember in the Attitude Era, this guy was one of the toughest guys on the roster. Though he didn't get to be World Champion, he wasn't made a pushover whatsoever.
this is a bad ass theme, i remember when wrestlers used 2 hav cool ring names, now evry1 wants 2b known as John Cena, John Morrison, David Otunga, Alberto Del Rio, and when they do com up wit a ring name, its gay, like The Miz? wut the fuck is a miz? is it a Manly Wiz? yea ima take a manly piss, call it Miz
@seankinsellasean yeah me too when I was like 7 still is though, bossman was like well cool. It goes Kane, Bossman, Farooq, D'lo brown and Booker T! for me.
I'll always remember the Big Bossman as one of the greatest and most badass heels there is, and ever was, such instances to back my claim up is him feeding Al Snow his dog, Pepper, or when he dragged Big Show on his dead daddy's coffin. R.I.P Big Bossman, and may you forever live on in our hearts!
i remember the big boss man like this a true badass that doesnt take shit from any mother fucker, long live the attitude era and the great wrestlers it produced and the great wrestlers that it made even more great
when i was growing up i kinda followed the Big Boss Man through his career..i know he was apart of the Twin Towers..lol..their rivalary with Hogan and Savage..the Mega Powers was a classic...then he lost alot of weight and turn face..his solo battle with the Heenan family was another classic..his match with Mr.Perfect was superub..i do miss that era of wresting..than came Nails..he battered the Big Boss Man...went to WcW..came back and join the cooperation.RIP Rey Taylor..
It's appropriate that the Big Boss Man always wore sunglasses, making it impossible to see his eyes. It's been said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. Well, the Big Boss Man had no soul. Hence the uncaring, black sunglasses in place of human eyes.
@giannaluva65 Nah today is like a soap opera. Back in the day it was like watching a super hero cartoon. Wrestler were super humans and some of them had powers. Later in the attitude era it was violent and exciting. Now all I see is a bunch of grown men crying like babies talking about their wives and children( ane bitching about putting their bodies on the line) and grey haired dudes yelling at each other about stuff that happened 15 years ago :D
Had a great first run with the company as a face in the late 80s-early 90s, totally reinvented himself in the late 90s-early 2000s as a bad heel. Bossman was multi talented RIP
One of the top heels of the late 90's-early 00's no doubt. I'm still waiting for his hall of fame call. Sure he didnt win a world title but he was involved in some good fueds. Then again, with drugs being a contributing factor to his heart attack Vinny Mac wouldnt want him recognized, would he? I still dont see Rick Rude or Bulldog either

He passed away a few years ago, so we'll keep his memory alive with this kick ass theme song along with some great matches he had throughout his career. I just wish Vince would put him in the Hall of Fame already though.
The Miz was on the "Real World" for fucks sakes. He's a total jerkoff. and I agree with the Boss Man love. He came from an era where wrestling was good. Even the Rock era was still very good. Now every1 looks like a bunch of roided up freaks genetically engineered in some mad scientists laboratory. And the chicks with their fake tits, lips, and faces. I'll take Ms Kitty and Stacey Kiebler over any of these grossass ho's that WW-E is throwing out there nowadays.. Maria excluded. She's smokin.
@oceanicflightdown The 90s was the best era, or at least better than the 2000s era. We had characters with masks, attitudes, unrealistic storylines, better gimmicks, and it had so much more energy. These days it's all about pushing wrestlers that nobody likes (I like Cena, but I am aware of the problems and know most people hate him).
And I'm speaking on both WCW and WWF. I tried watching TNA since it had my favorite people, but that was only for a week or two. :(
@BlackChapters Lol, yeah. But no Young fat ones either nowadays, But I have noticed the fat ones tend to live longer strangely, King Kong Bundy is still around.
@oceanicflightdown I think you're post is a bit biased. Although I agree with some of the things you said, you contradict yourself. The 80's and early 90's were full of a lot of steroid using wrestlers. I mean these guys were HUGE. Hulk Hogan is a popular example. When you say "good", it has to do with the talent and storylines...it has nothing to do with how "fake" the people looked.
@oceanicflightdown the only thing I don't agree with here is your point about the chicks. I wouldn't even trade them for Kiebler or Ms Kitty... to me, they're just some of the original shitty divas. I'd rather have some women who are wrestlers and not models. Gimme the likes of Sara del Rey, MsChif, Cheerleader Melissa and even good old Luna Vachon. At least they can wrestle and don't botch every single step they take.
@oceanicflightdown why does it matter that the miz was on the real world? wrestlers come from all walks of life. nobody gives MVP shit about being a criminal
@oceanicflightdown everyone now looks like roided up freaks? most the guys today are significant smaller in muscle mass than those during the attitude era. the attitude era also had sable and debra who were ugly bitches pumped full of plastic. but regardless of the past vs present argument, big bossman was a badass.
Best thing about the Boss Man - great in the WWF 1988-1993. Went to WCW and was badly misused, to the point he became a jobber. Went back to WWF in 1998, and was a star again ast the Boss Man, Mr McMahon's head of security. And they repackaged him and gave him this new music too, so it wasn't like the old 'Hard Times' Boss Man either. The guy was great. R.I.P. Ray Traylor, sadly missed.
Bossman is THE shit. Fuck whoever's talkin' 'bout The Miz. Fuck whoever says Bossman ISN'T the shit, 'cause The Big Bossman was one of the greatest heels ever. Point blank. Period. Can't be fuckin' wit' a Cobb County dude's legacy like that, comparing him to the damn Miz...
That's because the dickhead Miz said the week after he won the belt he's better than Bossman, Steamboat and Henning along with other great wrestlers because they never won the WWE title. When he said that i rolled my eyes and was like give me a damn break those guys at least got a reaction out of a live crowd and i would still watch Bossman's cage match vs Hogan from Saturday Night Main Event from the 80's than the crap they have now.
The MIZ is better than this guy because he never got a title run and Miz is. When he said that on Raw, about some Hall of Famers never being WWE (F) Champ and how he's better than Bossman, Henning and Steamboat i just rolled my eyes and was like if he had to deal with Hogan back in the late 80's like Bossman did, Miz probably wouldn't have even been on a ppv card back then.
And when someone does one of Bossman's moves at a show that i'm at and i say your not Big Boss Man your not in the same league as he is, about 95% of the people around me have no idea who i'm talkin about. The ones that do agree with me though.
Bossman rocked! I remember him interfering in all of the Rock's matches at Survivor Series 1998, LOL. The best was his feud with Big Show (daddy... LOL), and Al Snow!
That just brought a big smile to my face, i remeber them like it was yesterday. I hope he goes into the HOF soon, those flashbacks they do will be great.
Whether he was a "bad cop", beating down on helpless victims, or a "good cop" protecting the innocent...the fact was if you fucked with the boss man, you had the right to remain silent.

@OgnarPliskin Blame the writers and bookers not the wrestlers.

@oceanicflightdown Why are there no fat wrestlers in the WWE anymore too?
They're all the same now!
LarryBundyJr 6 months ago
@LarryBundyJr obviously they keep dying.
BlackChapters 6 months ago

SexyAltrox 5 months ago
@oceanicflightdown None of the WWE divas are fake, I grew up with the Attitude era too but i don't think none of these "sexy" WWE Divas are fake
JJboy4Life 5 months ago

Truly underrated, he deserved more than just a Tag team or Hardcore belt. May he rest in peace.

-_-

That's because the dickhead Miz said the week after he won the belt he's better than Bossman, Steamboat and Henning along with other great wrestlers because they never won the WWE title. When he said that i rolled my eyes and was like give me a damn break those guys at least got a reaction out of a live crowd and i would still watch Bossman's cage match vs Hogan from Saturday Night Main Event from the 80's than the crap they have now.

The MIZ is better than this guy because he never got a title run and Miz is. When he said that on Raw, about some Hall of Famers never being WWE (F) Champ and how he's better than Bossman, Henning and Steamboat i just rolled my eyes and was like if he had to deal with Hogan back in the late 80's like Bossman did, Miz probably wouldn't have even been on a ppv card back then.
cle17930 1 year ago
@cle17930 Miz is the new Cena. Oh gawd, what has wrestling come down to? Bossman's music alone is better than Miz and Cena combined.
