The sound is not that good in this recording.

Terrana is a much better drummer than Jukka ever was, but you (and me also) are used Jukka's his way of drumming, and his overall sound for this song.

@irenikus777 Listen to the snare @ 2:05. 2:10, The snare and kick together @ 2:33. Poor sound quality doesn't explain clear timing mistakes. Those hits are late.

As for the fuller drum sound that he's doing in this recording, I like it. It's a bit crowded, but it works for the song.

I still think the timing is ok, but you may be right. I don't know much about drumming. Maybe he was just distracted and lost concentration.

My problem with Terrana is that even if he is considered a walking legend, entered Guiness Book and all that.. I really don't like the sound of his drums.

I loved Emppu, loved Will Calhoun in "Crimson Deep", but Mike Terrana's drums I don't like.

@Kevashidaz, the drummer was changing the feel of the music by dividing the compund meter differently. Sort of the opposite of hemiolas. Essentially he gave it a feel in three by accenting the compound meter differently. An example: Instead of dividing (accenting) 8 strokes 2+2+2+2 you could play 3+3+2. The latter would give you a completely different feel. However, I personally found that his change in the feel was not done too smoothly and could have been made tighter.

@Bearthoughts I see what you're talking about, but it still just sounds wrong to me. Maybe he's just learning to play around with the meter, who knows.

I like when people play with timing, but I enjoy it more when it's done melodically- see the 3/4 section in the middle of Metallica's 'Orion', or the riff from Dave Matthews' 'Satellite', which, if memory serves, is played in 6/4. Time signature is different from what you're talking about, but that's just what makes my ears sing.

@eloisagone Hola mira en el DF fuimos aproximadamente 1500 personas y aqui en guadalajara eramos como 500 personas ( fue poca la gente en guadalajara ya que no se le hizo mucha promocion al evento y ademas de que la situacion de inseguridad esta medio mala) pero creeme que Tarja disfruto mas el evento en Guadalajara que el del DF esa es mi humilde opinione jejeje

@tarjaturunenworld no no no creo que estas mal, mira yo llegue el dia del evento como a las 6 pm a la taquilla y ahi compre mi boleto y es el 1253, lo que pasa es que los tickets los reparten en taquilla dejan ejemplo : 400 boletos en tienda x : otros 400 en ticketmaster otros 400 en taquilla y asi... no creas que venden de uno por uno y no el crico no se lleno la parte de arriba de las butacas estaba mas de la mitad sola creo que no eres muy observador jejejeje salu2

@GaaraDess Hola. Parece que ella elige su vestimenta para cada tour. En cada show de Europa se puede ver que ella usaba la misma vestimenta. Para el tour sudamericano ha hecho algunas variaciones, pero si, creo que la vestimenta que ha usado en los conciertos del Circo volador y en Guadalajara, van a ser usados en el resto del tour. A proposito que afortuno(a) eres al verla tan de cerca. Yo aun no he tenido la oportunidad; la estoy esperado en US. Ojala vuelva pronto. :)
