One of the things that I love about this commercial is that the filmmaker has managed to make every period look cutting edge, cool, and desirable. Many of us, especially younger kids have the habit of looking back and laughing at the dances, songs and styles that our parents and grandparents used to do and wear, yet, this commercial has managed to make everything seem amazing. For instance, that girl from the 1800's that walks away from the bar looks so stylish and awesome!

And this commercial does play on American TV, its not against the law to advertise alcohol or tobacco on tv here in the U.S. They actually play a ton of ads for beer and stuff. Thats why I really love this commercial, there are so many terrible beer commercials that play here and this one is particularly well made.

I do, however, remember reading somewhere that it was against the law to show alcoholic beverage commercials on American TV, but I think that it was incumbent on the percentage of population in the area that is over the drinking age. If 70% of the population is over that age, then it can be shown. It's some weird law like that., so maybe that explains why I've never seen that commercial in my area. I would not have forgotten that commercial if I saw it!

As others agree, this commercial is great! Personally, I would go as far as ranking it the best! Yet, I have never seen it on American TV. I think that there is a law in the USA that alcohol companies cannot advertise on TV. Please correct me if I am wrong.
