Yes, again why the w3's, 6's and 7's. The 8w7 can go from 30 to 200 hz if tuned properly if i recall correctly.

typically sq isn't all bass oriented either. In fact a friend of mine has two sealed 8w7's in the truck of his jetta, and focal k2's in the doors with pillar mounted tweeters, no rears or anything, unbelievable sq. because the subs are there for support, not the centerpoint of your system. clean bass is next to impossible in the acoustic environment of a vehicle so you don't want all ears on the subs. The 8's are phenomenal for bringing up mids and lows for other genres of music than rap.

A single 18" wouldn't have shit on this setup. First of all, an 18" that can handle 3kwrms would be 15" deep. Second, there isn't enough room for an 18" woofer that is 15" deep behind those seats. Third, there isn't even enough air space in an extended cab pickup for a good, ported enclosure. Fourth, a single 18" woofer is good for frequencies below 80hz, while this setup is good between 20hz to 200hz due to multiple small drivers. In this case, six 8" subs FTMFW.
