  • i gotta grow me one of 'em 'staches

  • Patrick contracted HIV before it had a name, or anyone knew what it was, or how it was transmitted. Many brilliant and talented artists, and many others, were lost to us before there was any clue what was going on.

  • Patrick Crowley wasn't gay?

  • He was the best producer ever - i can just imagine how much great music we never could hear, cause he died in oct. 82 (fooking aids)

  • mistercrazylergs you are right i am asking about this people but is good i love this music but is clear theey were gays and they paid with their life no mas putos en el mundi x q mueren de sida adoro esta musica y todos son gays

  • As far as Im concerned, he was just as relevant as Georgio Moroder...

  • Okay, maybe Cowley was not gay ,I don't care that much about that , but hey , It's odd that also Sylvester ,Frank Loverde and Marty Blecman died of AIDS . All people who were very close with Cowley in a musical way died. Almost one complete label lost because of AIDS. I live his music, have all his records ,but his life and the people around him were strange.

  • great memory of a great song and singer RIP

  • Simply incredible.

    A master piece.

Patrick cowley, bobby Orlando and Paul parker

    The fathers of electronic.

    This is history.

  • I love italodisco, and love patrick cowley tunes, i lke this one very much

  • Era un genio de la musica!!! saluos desde Perù

  • Lesser known Patrick Cowley song but certainly one of his best! Petty that this version deviates so much from the original (all the reverse stuff, is normally not in!)

  • The only one real disco music. Thank God for Patrick

  • I remember him and Sylvester. Very talented guy.

  • Such a great wierd & wild, but GR8 Dance Tune!

    Patrick sure was a Genius!

  • fab sound

  • What difference does it make how he died. What are you doin a survey. Isnt there about a billion other places you can ask stupid questions. Try the animalplanet.douchebag.dumbfuck

  • @gkent101 you obviously don't get it. but that's alright. you wouldn't have been able to handle it anyway.

  • @gkent101 How did he died?

  • Yes, he died of AIDS, I was at his memorial service. But being gay was a risk factor not the reason he died of AIDS he didn't die from being gay he died of AIDS just like many straight people have died of AIDS.

  • Patrick Cowley definately was & still is a legend in music making. What a wonderful & quite handsome. I remember the good ol days when he was with Sylvester & Paul Parker!

    Brilliant music composer! :-)

    R.I.P My Friend Patrick :-(

Patrick Cowley passed away on Novemeber 12, 1982. I'll always remember him ! :-)

  • Did you know this genius in person, Wauw! What an honor, his music blows my mind.

  • No, not really, I saw him in concert where he signed a couple of LPs & pics for me, but I have friends who knew him very well, like Harold Ranger, the guy who did that "poem" about him using ALL his songs in the poem. I couldn't finish the entire poem, but I'll post it one day

BTW...Patrick Cowley was a very nice man. Very nice mannered. Not like some of these so-called big shots of today's music! I always will remember Patrick, Paul,Sylvester, etc. Thanks :-)

  • Yep, i still remeber that day. I was eighteen. At that time they told on the dutch radio it was chronic leukaemia.

  • Great sound!!!!!!

  • I can definitely hear a sequential circuits prophet 5 synthesiser in his music, did he use a prophet 5?Also what drum machine was his main drum machine?

He was amazing, his production, synth sounds, music is awesome and must of sounded like it was from 2150 ad when he first played it to people.

    Amazing.

  • I think he used a Linn drum machine, or something, but I don't have any information on this matter. And, on some of his albums he is credited as playing drums. Maybe he played some drumrolls or beats by himself. (He drummed in a rock band in his youth)

  • Yes most definately. He would sit & punch in different sounds using knobs, not sliders, etc. like we have today. It was hard, but fun work for Patrick because music is his passion & he did rather well IMHO! :-)

  • Love this music.

Can remember dancing way way back in the 80s

  • Hi, I uploaded 2 videos of Patrick Cowley's remix of Donna Summer's I Feel Love. YouTube won't allow me to upload a video longer than 10 minutes and his remix of that song is 15 minutes 45 seconds and I think it's amazing and still very relevant for today!!!

  • The full Patrick Cowley remix is also on the 2 disc version of 'The Journey -The Very Best Of Donna Summer'

  • In fact it's no remix. Just some littel cuts and loops. It give one album on Megatone which have "real" Remixes. But only some copys are around. I would pay many 100 Dollars if i could get a good copy.

  • Go to amazon and search for HI-NRG Classics 12" Collection. It is a 2 disc set and the full version which was a disconet remix is on it. Lists for about $27.00.

  • he died way too young

  • thats true. He was one of the first victims of hiv.

Nevertheless - his music lives and many of today's songwriters crap sounds pathetic comparing to Patric Cowley.

  • Thanks for posting. This is one of Patrick's songs that I NEVER knew existed. I have all the rest of his records. Thanks again !!!

  • Patrick Cowley : the greatest forgotten heroe of electronic music

  • I've been into synthpop for 20 years but never heard of PC till i saw his name credited on comcasts disco radio station

when they played do you wanna funk, this was about 1 year ago. Most of patrick cowleys songs aren't just good, they are killer tracks.

  • well tough Kraftwerk are regarded as the fathers of techno & sinth music, Patrick is conseded the grand father of DANCE Electronic music, wich evoved from disco and was called Hi-NRG (eurobeat) in the early and mid 80's and then evolved in to new beat and house to become Techno Dance, and Tribal etc.. etc...

  • True classic ! :)

  • that s fucking sexual , thanks love it :)

  • Woo hoo!!! I'm happy to find this masterpiece of golden eighties in youtube!!! THANKS!!!
