Have we succeeded? We think so. Before long we shall have covered with our narratives an enormous period of time; between the "Comtesse de Salisbury' and the "Comte de Monte Christo" five centuries and a half are compresed. Well, we assert that we have taught France as much history about those five centuries and a half as any historian. This passage is from The Companions of Jehu which was written by Alexandre Dumas pere.
Usually this song is playbacked, because it is part of their show with the robots on stage, so the bandmembers can change and drink. This is the first (and only) time they have ever played it live like this.
@itsdavadude these passages are from page #17 of The Companions of Jehu written by Alexandre Dumas pere--"Sir, I have heard speak of the Companions of Jesus," replied the magistrate with his jeering smile. "The Jesuits, you mean? That is not what I am seeking, sir."....Elisha consecrated Jehu King of Israel, on condition that he exterminate the house of Ahab; Elisha was Louis XVIII; Jehu was Cadoudal; the house of Ahab, the Revolution.
@itsdavadude 'I do not like the reappearance of The Jesuits ... If ever there was a body of men who merited damnation on earth and in hell, it is this society of Loyola's. Nevertheless, we are compelled by our system of religous toleration to offer them an asylum.' John Adams, 2nd President of the U.S.A
It was in Italy I think. I´ve been. the only band I love like Kraftwerk actually, is one hiting strong in Italy. Search SWAVE IN THE FUTURE. is very different

They usually never play this song live ;) That's why they have some technical problems.
didouneto 2 years ago
exactly... that's why they are not the robots... ;)
spiralmedula 2 years ago
did they have technical issues here or something? They've played the song perfectly before.

What is this piano? Sounds bad.

The reason it sounds bad is that it's the only thing being PLAYED live here... And appearantly the person who plays it can't play tight...

Troppo.
