I want to go back to Africa! I loved Namibia, Walvis Bay, the drive to Swakopmund, way of Long Strand Beach and Cape Cross. The people were magical, beautiful, (Audrey and Louis of Walvis Bay) and they were so OK with life. I had an unforgettable experience upon my return from the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. Looking back over 20 yrs ago, the three months of Africa out of my whole life completely transfigured me. I am truly a grateful human being to have visited God's Spiritual Country.

@TriggerTheTMe too,I lived there in a tent for eigheen months in the 1980's gratis of the South African Defence Force. Swakopmund was quaint and reminded me of a German town,whilst the skeleton coast was roaming with jackals and wild life. The people were generous warm,friendly and appeared gateful for our occupation.The natural beauty and sunsets struck me and most of my squadron,many a late afternoon we would lie on our backs just looking at the beautiful red sunset in the horizon.

i was fortunate to have studied abroad in SA. i was at UCT. but i did a roadtrip with friends across SA, saw the flowerfields fields in as we headed towards bloemfontein, drakensberg mountains in kwazulu-natal, safari at kruger national park and all the beauty in cape town.

its almost going to be a year since i left, and i miss it everyday. i can only imagine 18 years.

would go for a nice braai :)

i am visiting south africa this july for the world cup. many people are prejudiced against south africa, quoting its high crime rates and social instability. I choose to disagree, or rather to appreciate the good things in this beautiful country. And i am really glad that many of the south african are proud of themselves, proud of their culture and most importantly their country. And what a video, what a speech. it makes me want to be a south african myself.
