The Witcher: Enhanced Edition - comments/review.

just got this game for 4 dollars.

now downloading it (15gb) and i was afraid of the long download.

however, after seeing this masterpiece of a review, i am truly convinced that this game is well worth the download.

so is this game mainly about fighting or rather dialogue and investigation?

@pjthebest10 I hope you are not deceived! I'd say there's more emphasis on Dialogue & investigation. The combat is more reliant on character stats then player skill.

this sounds almost more like an ad than a review, like pointing out the bad but then justifying it? you must really love this game.

still i loved the presentation and the editing, thumbs up for those.

@morotorno2 I 'Respect' the game more than I 'love' it, I think. CD Projekt remembers why RPG's can be great, against the grain of current trends.

Excellent review that actually covered more gaming detail than 90% of the 'normal' reviews out there! Nice warm-up for The Witcher 2 - which is going to be H U G E !!!!

@Levethian7 No Bioware games are all multiformat and action-adventure games nowadays, IMO. 90% conversation and 10% combat.

@HardWarUK you probably haven't played DA2, is at least 5% exploration, 25%conversation, 70% combat, is exhausting.

@WillyWallace100 No way have I got within 100 miles of the crappy Dragon Age 2! And based on Mass Effect 3 being a shooter, and Dragon Age 3 probably having no RPG elements at all, and being a Fantasy based Borderlands type game, I have given up on Bioware and transferred my loyalty to CD Projekt RED! :)

@HardWarUK i don't blame you, DA2 sucked so bad, and this comes from someone who loved the first one, ignore any rare praise you hear about DA2, it's not worth it.

@Levethian7 Well, here we are 5 days after he release of The Witcher 2 and 90%+ scores are outnumbering 80-89% by about 5 to 1 and The Witcher has just gone in at No.1. in the PC games chart - with Fable III down at number 6 and beating games like Rift and the Sims: Medieval!!!! Could saythen, it's well on the way to H U G E in just a few short days! :)

My pleasure :) If you haven't had a look at any of the dev diaries for the witcher 2 i would recommend doing so - they specify some of the changes in combat (supposed to be more challenging etc) and magic etc etc.

Anywho glad you enjoyed it. Extensive google imaging ftw.
