imo Ultima Weapon was harder, because I fought it first and wasn't prepared for how fast paced the fight was, when I challenged Omega Weapon, I had everything planned out and it was actually a smoother fight.
i never beat omega weapon but i got lucky beating ultima weapon without cheating because he almost killed everyone and at the last second i used holy which made everyone invincible plus they all had limit breaks and i just got lucky that holy war didnt wear off
Man the PC is already better than PS just because of this level. PS keeps him at 100. But I still beat him. TWICE. once with Holy Wars and the second without. It was luck though because just before he used Terra Break, Rinoa's limit would be Invincible Moon.
Another good tactic to wipe out bosses is put kamikaze on 2 lvl 100 characters, then have autopotion & item for hero's on a lvl 17 chara, and smack off the last couple thousand hp the boss has. Worked wonderfully on Ultima weapon my first time playing.
I used defend and beat him. Funny thing is i had two players with defend and one without cause you can only get it on two. The one without actually survived Terra Break. Had me laughing

PC or PSX? but if u want an explanation based on your theory, its because back then you don't have powerful junctions (or powerful limit breaks if u use them after u became strong). Plus T-rex in Balamb Garden is weaker compare to Island-closest-to-hell or heaven. But overall, T-rex is really a weak monster in the end compare to Ruby Dragon or Malboro. Hope that helps, peace

ATTACK, each sword slice equals an attack, and lionheart can produce up to 10 attacks, so, u attacked him 17 times..... give or take....... 1 attack would mean u hit him ONCE and he died. And there is a program that u can download called the griever, you can choose what monsters levels r, and you can choose a power lever for your charecters and u can have max amount of every item in the game and have max amount of every card in the game
I try the same on psx, but i really hard get trough cd 3 with acrcs under lvl 20. I have to rise Quistis till level 25 in order to keep most crc in lvl 10.

Thats not true. Bosses dont give you any EXP and normal monsters: Either turn into cards, to stone (without making damage), or try to run away. If all that not possible: kill 2 of your characters and kill the enemy with a GF.
It may sound as a stupid question, but I'd really like to know. Is this boss difficult? I mean, REALLY difficult? I'm asking this because I'm playing FFVIII for the first time. (I'm at Disc 3 though xD)
@DoctorObviously Omega Weapon is a bitch... Especially when your characters are lvl 100. You'll really be needing something like Defense or heroes. He uses terra break which, if you don't prepare well.., kills you in any case (it does multiple hits of 4000 damage on all your characters). But if you manage to defend yourself he's not all that good.
Yes, this Boss is really hard. You wont find a harder in FF8. If you play the game first time, I will bet you wont survive for a long time (maybe just if you use Hero-Drinks you can survive longer).
That it looks that easy in the video is because I made a No-Level-Game. That means I tried my best not to get just one Level by using the GF-Ability "Card" or magic stone. I then junctioned strong magic on that characters and received fighters which look like Level 100.

As Omega is on same Level like characters on PC-Edition it just is Level 7 with about 200.000 HP. That is easily made with Zell or Squalls Lionheart.
If you fight on higher levels you surely will see a cruel combination of attacks, which you should KNOW. Especially you should know how to avoid terrabreak (you can use the GF-Ability Defense so you have 2 charas alive after terrabreak).

Easiest game? Why? I don't think you can really clarify what the easiest final fantasy game is, it all depends on your characters equipment/level/your knowledge of the game/if you use a guide or not. If you pay attention in battles, if you set the game speed to fast or slow put it the battles in active or wait etc etc. I know which FF is the hardest IMO tho, FF2 maybe because the leveling system was so gay or the fact that you gotta go to that pub, on the way there you could easily die (op mons)
2. you can stay low level by simply killing no normal units, bosses give no EXP. and remember, that enemies STAY weak when you don't level up!

it's easy to have level 7 squall, kill/petrify him during battles to prevent level up and/or card/devour enemies so you won't get exp... can be done both on psx and pc ;)
worst.. in ff8, fighting boss with low level means nothing.. for as long as you can get the lion heart, ur damage would be 9999, when u do the lion heart's limit break i reckon, keeping in mind that the boss level is adjusted as yours.
this is why the pc version is rubbish compared to the psx version...... dont c the point of facing the hardest boss on the game when its lvl 7........
There is a site in internet showing the HP on different Levels (I guess they are written in the official guide to the game). Referring to this site Omegas HP on Level 1 is 111105 HP, at Level 20 305000HP, at Level 100 1161000 HP. The HP of the monster are calculated by a distribution of the kind ax²+bx+c=y where x is the Level and y the HP. You can calculate a,b,c as learnt in school. The formula for Omega is: 5x²+10100x+101000=y. On Level 7 the HP are 171945.
Why do I do 9999HP damage on Level 7. Because I junction strong spells and Strength+60/40 and so on. And Omegas defense is still quite weak on Level 7.
to do 9999 damage at lvl 7 he juntioned a magic that skyrockets strength (maybe 100 ultima's), he may've also used str bonus'. As for hp he probably search'd omega weapon's level on google.
what i don't get is how lion heart could be that strong at that level? or is the game all weapon based damage and not so much on stats? or is it just because of everything you junctioned... but even then how could you learn the skills without battling much o_o and forced battles wouldn't they level you to atleast double digits?

I did even fight more that many others would! Just you have to turn your opponent into cards by using the Ability of Quezacoatl!!! Then you dont get any EXP. The Lion Heart is that strong because of the junction. To get good spells get good items from cards and turn them into good spells. Also look on that 2 islands (I just know the German names). And use LevelPlus of I think Cactuar or Tomberry King to make opponent stronger and draw good spells. Then fight them and turn them into cards.
You cannot turn bosses into cards. But you dont need it too, because they dont give you EXP. Also you can change your junctions when fighting bosses so you get stronger.
For turning normal monsters into cards, you need at least one character that is not strong (take Squall cause you can control if he gets a harder attack or not). A 2nd person should be really strong for fighting monsters with much HP like T-Rex (I use Zell for that). And the last person should be a mixture of weak and strong.
You need this because you have extremely weak enemys too. If you just have strong characters any hit would kill them. But for turning monsters into cards, they should have few HP left. As far as I noticed you cant turn monsters into cards if you didnt do anything to them. So give it a small hit for getting him loosing some HP. Or use spells. If still the opponent get knocked out by one hit use SHELL or PROTECT. Or even better use Diabolos (if not on Level 100) or DEMI-Spell
the only TRUE one hit kill on Omega weapon is The End.
Only undead monsters (and OFC multi phase battles (like the Ultimecia battle) are NOT one hit killed by it. Undead monsters are unaffected, for the Ultimecia battle, it just goes to the next phase.
in final fantasy 8 monsters and bosses lvl up according to the players lvls, so if you just run from random battles you wont lvl up, and forced battles you have to use break
that would be so boreing tho i would never try that. when ever i go through i do everything. and the doomtrain side quest will level you a few times unless u play like 100 card games to get that stuff.

i think its in ultamecia (spelled wrong didnt I) castle and u have to ring a bell I think and a timer starts and you have to get to him before time runs out. Dont remember his exact location though.
It's on disc four in Ultimecias Castle. You need to use one team to ring the bell on the right hand side before switching to the other (stronger) team and go inside the building where you play the piano to get the Rosetta Stone ^_^ Even before you decide to ring the bell, it's obvious where Omega Weapon is since there's a huge black cloud indicating its presence. I always fight it at Lvl 100 since I like it to be toughish haha

Du wirst sehen, du bekommst KEINE EXP und somit auch kein Level-Up. Das Ganze kann man auf die Spitze treiben und eigene Charas gezielt K.O. hauen, um so wenig wie möglich EXP zu bekommen. Bevor du mir hier mit Fake oder Cheaten kommst, probier doch einfach mal Karte aus.

If it would be true that enemies are allways the same level as player,what would be the point of leveling up?
I'm aware that enemies evolve as characters do,but not equally.
For example:
When I was foolling around the Ballamb Garden at the beggining of FF8,I've encountered T-Rex.
I needed around 10minutes to kill him.
After many hours of gameplay I became so strong that every time we met,he fallen after 1 maybe 2 strikes.

it's easy to have level 7 squall, kill/petrify him during battles to prevent level up and/or card/devour enemies so you won't get exp... can be done both on psx and pc ;)

No, it's Germen. Pc version has a omega weapon with the same level as your party. Playstation version is always lvl 100.

worst.. in ff8, fighting boss with low level means nothing.. for as long as you can get the lion heart, ur damage would be 9999, when u do the lion heart's limit break i reckon, keeping in mind that the boss level is adjusted as yours.

In fact I think these bosses (like omega and ultima) are always on the same level as yours. So if you don't raise your level they won't as well.

There is a site in internet showing the HP on different Levels (I guess they are written in the official guide to the game). Referring to this site Omegas HP on Level 1 is 111105 HP, at Level 20 305000HP, at Level 100 1161000 HP. The HP of the monster are calculated by a distribution of the kind ax²+bx+c=y where x is the Level and y the HP. You can calculate a,b,c as learnt in school. The formula for Omega is: 5x²+10100x+101000=y. On Level 7 the HP are 171945.

Why do I do 9999HP damage on Level 7. Because I junction strong spells and Strength+60/40 and so on. And Omegas defense is still quite weak on Level 7.

to do 9999 damage at lvl 7 he juntioned a magic that skyrockets strength (maybe 100 ultima's), he may've also used str bonus'. As for hp he probably search'd omega weapon's level on google.

what i don't get is how lion heart could be that strong at that level? or is the game all weapon based damage and not so much on stats? or is it just because of everything you junctioned... but even then how could you learn the skills without battling much o_o and forced battles wouldn't they level you to atleast double digits?
just my two cents and lack of knowledge on the pc version!

I did even fight more that many others would! Just you have to turn your opponent into cards by using the Ability of Quezacoatl!!! Then you dont get any EXP. The Lion Heart is that strong because of the junction. To get good spells get good items from cards and turn them into good spells. Also look on that 2 islands (I just know the German names). And use LevelPlus of I think Cactuar or Tomberry King to make opponent stronger and draw good spells. Then fight them and turn them into cards.

You cannot turn bosses into cards. But you dont need it too, because they dont give you EXP. Also you can change your junctions when fighting bosses so you get stronger.
For turning normal monsters into cards, you need at least one character that is not strong (take Squall cause you can control if he gets a harder attack or not). A 2nd person should be really strong for fighting monsters with much HP like T-Rex (I use Zell for that). And the last person should be a mixture of weak and strong.

You need this because you have extremely weak enemys too. If you just have strong characters any hit would kill them. But for turning monsters into cards, they should have few HP left. As far as I noticed you cant turn monsters into cards if you didnt do anything to them. So give it a small hit for getting him loosing some HP. Or use spells. If still the opponent get knocked out by one hit use SHELL or PROTECT. Or even better use Diabolos (if not on Level 100) or DEMI-Spell

the only TRUE one hit kill on Omega weapon is The End.
Only undead monsters (and OFC multi phase battles (like the Ultimecia battle) are NOT one hit killed by it. Undead monsters are unaffected, for the Ultimecia battle, it just goes to the next phase.

in final fantasy 8 monsters and bosses lvl up according to the players lvls, so if you just run from random battles you wont lvl up, and forced battles you have to use break

In the Pc Verison he is at a lvl Depending on your partys Average level. In the Ps1 verison he is always at lvl 100.

umm actully no it wasnt 1 attack if it was then he would have use 1 hit only not others thats a move that does about 20+attacks so really its move then 20 and scan sorta counts as an attack also to show stats to find weakness it counts as a turn so basicly it is an attack

i think its in ultamecia (spelled wrong didnt I) castle and u have to ring a bell I think and a timer starts and you have to get to him before time runs out. Dont remember his exact location though.

It's on disc four in Ultimecias Castle. You need to use one team to ring the bell on the right hand side before switching to the other (stronger) team and go inside the building where you play the piano to get the Rosetta Stone ^_^ Even before you decide to ring the bell, it's obvious where Omega Weapon is since there's a huge black cloud indicating its presence. I always fight it at Lvl 100 since I like it to be toughish haha

1. Mit gamesharks kann man sein lvl ändern er hats einfach auf 7 geändert damit Omega auch uaf 7 iust und damit verdammt wenig leben hat. Herzensbrecher zieht IMMER mit jedem Schlag 9999 ab (17 andgriffe jeweils 9999=ca170000 Schaden+ die 4-5 angriffe mit jeweils 3000-5000 schaden) voila Omega ist tot

@luggix, das ist kein cheat. In der PC-version ist das Level Pmegas wirklich vom Level Squalls abhängig. Nur will es einfach keiner wahrhaben.
Außerdem kann man, soweit ich weiß, sowieso keine Monster-level mit Gameshark, Action Replay oder anderem verändern.
Dass das die PC-version ist, erkennt man an der Musik, die PS-version-musik ist anders als die der PC-version

Lies dir doch einfach mal alle posts von mir durch. Als zweites informier dich mal über No-Level-Gaming und die GF-Ability "Karten" von Quezacoatl. Dann setze dieses Karten einfach mal ein. Du wirst sehen, du bekommst KEINE EXP und somit auch kein Level-Up. Das Ganze kann man auf die Spitze treiben und eigene Charas gezielt K.O. hauen, um so wenig wie möglich EXP zu bekommen. Bevor du mir hier mit Fake oder Cheaten kommst, probier doch einfach mal Karte aus.

this is lies. ultima wep is always lvl 100, even if ure lvl 8. it dont matter hes lvl 100. doing around 35k damage with sqaulls renzokuken then lionheart doesnt do the 1 mil hp he has. THIS IS TEH UBER LIES!
