There are some major distortions/innaccuracies in this video. First, the infant is not able to move a great deal because he is strapped down to a table that resticts entire body movement. The circumcision table looks like it was taken out of a KGB interigation/torture room. Second not all parental choices are carred out in good will & some of them while carried out in "good will" are not based upon rational thinking, good mental health &are often made in ignorance. It was legal to circumcise baby girls up until 1996 in the US, and female circumcision/FGM was requested/consented to by parents who were acting in "good will".

The reality is obviously very different and this video did an extremely poor job of presenting the discussion, other than the 10 second soundbite of the one physician saying that circumcision is unnecessary and is done out cultural reasons. What is wrong with the USA?! Do not cut babies without medical need! The surgery even has risks. Circumcision does not necessarily reduce UTIs. The claim it does is based on studies that weren't randomized or controlled. So their findings could be due to SOCIOECONOMIC differences (circumcision is commoner in White, middle class families than in poorer Black/Hispanic families) rather than foreskin itself, and other factors. Europeans are not usually circ'd. We're FINE with a normal, intact penis!
