I learned TM just a few weeks ago and I think it's great. It took me 3 years to go and learn it as I was very skeptical about it. I don't believe in any Gods and I think religion and New-Age mumbo jumbo is anything but harmless. No doubt there are irrational people saying irrational things within the TM movement. But I came away from it with a simple mental technique, with actual proven benefits, and my productivity has went up and I feel much better after meditating.

I used to be on anti-depressants for many years and this is the first year and the first winter I am fine and off the medication. Whether the theories are correct or not is not an issue for me as long as I get benefits from it. I've tried all sorts of meditation before (buddhist ect) and this is by far the one that is easy to get into and get benefits from it.
