Fairy Tail is a really good series itself. I don't think you should stop watching it just because the animation is bad ( that's the animation company's fault maybe ur expectations were too high? cuz i thought is was alright-better than most anime), because you'll be missing out all other great factors Fairy Tail has to offer, like the comedy and other action. I suggest you go read the manga from the creator Hiro Mashima himself instead, cuz it is awesome. ;)

there's no meaning to compare fairytail to one piece since they have different plots! if you want to compare, then compare one piece to pirates of the carribean, since they're both talking about pirates. There's no point in comparing the art style either since they're both ANIME.don't ppl get it? ALL anime looks the same. big distinctive eyes and beautified artwork etc

so there's no meaning to compare anime unless they have similar plots to compare.
