Good thing you were not hurt! Turn one is one hell of a corner to lose control in! And it almost looks like the back end just started to come around when you were coming off the banking.

Are you f'in serious? First off, um NO, you're in a VETTE, on a TRACK, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, learn to handle the power and moderate oversteer or you shouldn't be driving that car. Second, WTF was that? That was one of the slowest/worst reactions to oversteer I've ever seen. You didn't even bother to react quickly, took your damn time, and then barely got past 30 degrees of opposite lock. This video, especially your mentality about T/C disgusts me.
Well, this is exactly why this is a educational event which means Im out there to learn. We all make mistakes, and I definitely learned from this one. There were several things going on that I didn't bother to explain. Thanks for viewing though. I just hope that the 6 years of competative karting experience can make up for the fact that I shouldnt be in a vette....
Never said you shouldn't be in one. Don't take it the wrong way. I was just apauled that any serious track go'er would actually say he would be better off with T/C on. If you know how to drive and handle your car, T/C will always slow you down, get in your way, and hinder you. I never commented on how experienced you were, just was commenting on the lack of adequate response in this particular video.
and the lack of adequate response is one of the lessons learned from this mistake. If you have ever driven a C5 at any sort of track speed then you would know that TC is very intrusive and does slow you down. That was literally my first time on track with all assistance off and I was getting used to how differently the car felt. My comment at the end was intended in more of a sarcastic way then anything...
wow, don't just come in here randomly trying to instigate shit again. Reread everything that was said above you fool. My point was that he just didn't bother to countersteer quickly, and commented on his mentality of actually keeping traction control on when it should be off on a race track.

come out to TWS in your "race car" and let's see how easily you can control a slide coming off the banking into turn 1.

"When you spin, both feet in."

Oh, I had both feet in before I left the black grass.

Screw traction control.

Maybe also try not turning in and braking onto the transition...
