Thanks form posting this whole album, Michael. I was fortunate to see John at the Royal Albert Hall in London in March 1997, around the same time as this.
I thought the magnificant acoustics of the Hall were making John's voice sound even better than ever but I think he's voice just matured and improved in the 90's. He sounds better than ever on this album.
Were any of the 97 concerts filmed and released on DVD, do you know?
@SuperCalhoon Thank you for your comment. Sadly, I never got to see John perform in his final years. Audio exists for several of his concerts from 1997 - sometimes complete audio as for this Connecticut concert - but I do not yet know of any video recordings apart from a brief TV recording from the beginning of one of his final concerts from Corpus Christi, Texas. Certainly no video has been released on DVD.
Thanks for posting this video. When I was little I thought John Denver was singing this song just for me. Not too many Darcy's in the world. It has always had a special place in my heart alongside many other beautiful Denver songs. I'll always be a bit sad that I never got to see him in concert.
Sounds like a true story. What a fabulous ballad, sung in the only way it should be sung,by John Denver, a truly professional writer muscian, and singer.
