@herbsz This particular one is department issued. I believe personally owned Tasers do need to be registered with Taser International which includes a background check. Consult your local laws as far as the legality. Where we are at a "Taser" that shoots probes (unlike just stunner types that you just touch people with) has the same restrictions as a handgun which requires a state permit to carry.
Very fine review my friend. At first glance to the untrained eye one may think this is some sort of construction tool. What is the effect on an individual if he or she is high or intoxicated. Are the result less or greater?
@jetfuel545 Attitude, demeanor, or intoxication really don't play much of a factor. The probe placement is probably the most critical part. They say the more muscle you have the more it affects you. The Taser uses Neuromuscular Incapacitation which is a fancy way of saying the voltage affects the nerves going to your muscles. Most people can only hope to stay standing but doing much else is out of the question unless you didn't get hit with it well. Once the voltage is gone it's instant recovery
@black1705f Thanks for the great info. I wish more of the local PD in my are used them. Just a handful of dept do. If I were a patrol officer I would surly want the less than lether option.
@locknloadvideo I don't think there is much chance of shitting or peeing while being tased because everything is shut pretty tight. Afterwards I think you may want to shit yourself. I've heard of one person pissing their pants but nothing else. I imagine if you had a crap on deck you may have a strong urge to get rid of it when the voltage stops?
@videoenthusiast23 It all depends how they do it. For the most part getting "tased" as a end user isn't necessary, but most people do it so they don't look like pussies. If you do get tased in training it can be either by being shot or by having the leads attached to alligator clips. When I was trained I took the actual shot. The darts going in didn't have a chance to hurt since the voltage was right behind it. After all of that pulling those hooks out didn't really hurt either.
@pjicleanair420 I'd have to explain why I would need to replace a cartridge, and have to do some creative writing along with it. They control those cartridges pretty good.
Do u have to register it before u can use it or will it shoot without it being registered at all????

Taser policy with the AFIDs and background checks and such annoys me. There is no doubting they are a great tool. Good video!
