Lol...I was wondering which would come first on your list - BSG or the whisky ;-D I think your first choice was the clear winner! You get music the same way I do (uhhhh mostly legally)! Frazier rocks - I have seasons 1-5 on DVD and the rest are coming throughout next year - BSG & Dark Knight can't be beat! PS: My list would be a short - unless hangers count lol!
Hey, great choices in the various categories. The only surprise was "Smokey and The Bandit"?! A classic "70s" movie, but still wondering how that one got in... :-)
Hmm "The Last Samurai" eh? Would your mixed feelings possibly have something to do with the journal article "Themes of Whiteness in Bulletproof Monk, Kill Bill, and The Last Samurai" by Sean M. Tierney? If not I recommend it as a very interesting read if your able to access it somehow.
I am not familiar with that article, but I am going to get it. Thanks for that.
As for my mixed feelings... that is certainly part of my issues. But another issue is related to the events that they used as the basis for the fictional story. I thought the real story would have been more interesting, if a little too complicated.
But despite my reservations, it really is a powerful movie.
Interesting, I'm not familiar with the the background of the movie, but I'll definitely be looking into that. Well, if and when you get a chance to read that article I'd like to hear what you have say about it.
I'm dying to hear your thoughts on "the last samurai". It really did so well here in Japan and wasn't received so well in the US - and then a year later Memoirs of a Geisha/Sayuri got rave reviews in the States but was pretty much panned here in Japan.
Yeah, I found the widely differing reception of those two movies very interesting. Why did they get differing treatments? Hmm... Chinese vs American actors, male vs female... also timing. It is hard to tell, but it is fascinating.
hahaha cool vid 5/5

McCreary's Passacaglia (and The Shape of Things to come) is one of my favorite pieces to listen to.
Have you ever seen Farscape, that's another good one.

Wow dude Japan gets all the cool looking dvd cases. Does that BSG DVD come dubbed in english?
You cannot go wrong with Curb, Arrested Development, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis (which is unfortunately canceled)
Also I suggest Canadian LTD Whiskey, its a low priced yet very smooth good tasting whiskey.
Great video.

Yes, the Japanese version of BSG has both English and Japanese subtitles. Sorry to reply back so late!
