The FW7_X0D.ISO firmware it has worked for me too!!!I am very happy i fixed that bug after 6 months i own the dell 1537!!!Everything works fine now :) :)
OMG i have this problem occasionally as well!!!! it doesn't usually bother me though... I'm not much of a cd person anyway... I never leave a CD in my laptop from a fear of it overheating and becoming totally useless(probably never to happen but you never know)
well, yeah then you might want to get that eyed from dell its a rare hardware malfunction or maybe its a software malfunction call dell alright? they can help you out with that if its software stuff.
lol this is not a problem at all. its rare to happen it happens at boot and when the software is loading on windows. and goes away when things are up and running never had a problem with it. wierd... the touch sensitive on my laptop is perfect.
I have the same problem on my studio 1537, did a the A07 bios help at all? how did you get this problem fixed? I bet you also have a crackling sound in the speakers just like my laptop.
i have the same problem but when i see the light gets stuck i run my fingers across the whole touch pad and it disappears...only had this laptop for 4 days now...
Every Studio has this flaw. It is NOT related to the OS, ribbon cable, or anything of that nature. It is a BIOS/firmware issue. My Studio 1537 maxes out the volume after the eject button dims, and you cannot turn down the volume until it mood swing diminishes.
