wel it really is about a dark aesthetic. Goth decor uses religious symbolism..however, the actual goths themselves can range from atheistic to devout christian. Goth is a-religious and apolitical. It's more about accepting that death and decay exist. It has nothing to do with worshiping Satan. It has more about finding beauty in the most unlikely of places. Why are butterflies considered beautiful but spiders are ugly? Aren't they both God's creatures?
