It expresses beautifully the essence of the tragedy of the limited human existence and shows us that a single life is but a blink and means ultimately nothing.
Along with the music this is a brilliant scene,kudos to the writer of this monologue.

I first bought this film for my VCR and that version was with the shorter ending. I then get a DVD player and the DVD version has "Director's Cut" at the top and this version has the longer ending, also there is no song sung during the chase scene to catch Alice and Cora, and there is additional parts of the action at Fort William Henry.

I then get a DVD player and the DVD version has "Director's Cut" at the top and this version has the longer ending, also there is no song sung during the chase scene to catch Alice and Cora, and there is additional parts of the action at Fort William Henry.

I'm looking for the name & some info on an actor, who was in a movie Eric Schweig was in, called - "Follow the River". I don't remember the character's name, he played a Native, whom the husband asked to "barter" with the Shawnee, for his wife. I believe he played a Cherokee, and he looks SO MUCH like my FATHER, (who WAS part Cherokee, ironically), I think we might be related! I can't seem to find a full list and pics for the cast of this movie. Anyone know who this person might be???

I loved that ending scene, I wish Russell Means got an Oscar for that speech.

i realy like this movie we watched it in my history class it was ausome plus hawkeye is georges. beside that ,its a realy good movie and i cried at the end it was so sad.
but it kinda sucked that i cryed in class
but i wasn't the only one even some of the guys were crying it was such a great movie.
