I used VLC Media Player: this program can register flows from .flv files used by websites. You can save a .flv file on your pc, but to save the vid itself, you need to save the flow.
Here on YouTube there should be an useful tutorial...try look for ".flv to .wmv" or something.
And still, you have a vid you can view without skipping/rewinding, because it's not indexed: I use Prism Video Converter if I need to...but you may not need if you just upload them here on YouTube.
