As someone who just got around to reading the book, and waited to watch this until after - I'm pretty disappointed. The whole Buster guy just feels like a big ol character rape of this story. I know it's an adaptation but still. Also, I love Kathy Bates, but she is not at all as crazy as Annie is in the book. I was excited to see how she played it - ready to see those disturbing blank outs, but so far she's almost charming, if a little childish. Again - this opinion is after watching part 3..
