So are there any F-86's in operation that have had a rear seat installed for passenger flights? Or even any original 2-seaters? I've seen P-51's and Spitfires that have had the radio bay replaced with a seat for passengers, and I wonder if one could do the same with an F-86.
@bsg1206 Not exactly...a Mustang has a few minor differences, like straight wings, and a square-ish tail, and not dihedral on the tailplane. Just sayin'. It would also look less like a P-51 if they weren't both bare aluminum (usually). I imagine an F-86 painted in Southeast Asian Theater camouflage would have a different appearance. Aside from that I can't argue, the F-86 was the last plane that could really be called a "warbird".

I'm not a pilot or big time flight enthusiast but sound of the engines on this era of aircraft is hard core.

I wish the narrator had just shut his mouth for awhile. It detracted from the sound of the F86's engine on its passes.

My dad flew them back in the days for the South African Air Force. He really loved flying and planes.

This is what the Mustang would look like with a jet engine. The Sabre is one of the last planes with all the grace of the golden age of flight.
