This version was made in December 1930. The original was from Brunswick records in October 1930. Good song nonetheless.

There is a version of "MI" that heard some time ago that I've been trying to find. It starts with a short piano intro, followed by a muted horn countermelody. Then would come the main melody played by the whole orchestra/band. It might Duke & Co. playing it - I don't know.
