OK, I hate to ask this question, but will these replacement lenses fit the Frogskin RE-ISSUES that are currently on the Oakley website (2011 release). They have plastic hinges and raised "Oakley" text on earpieces at temples. My new Frogskins (just bought them last month - September 2011) look exactly like the Frogskins in this video.

QUESTION: I have a pair of 90s frogskins, pretty positive they're generation 1 - (they have metal hinges and "OAKLEY" is screenprinted on the sides, not raised). Anyway, wondering if oakley frogskin lenses are universal? Can i buy a newer pair and exchange the lenses without issue? Thanks for any answers!!

um dude. no offence. but vintage frogskins have metal hinges. vintage refering to the original frogskins in the 80s and not the bring backs in the 90s.

i just got my green antifreeze frogskins with black iridium lenses and i can see my eyes looking through them and stuff i dont want to see. Can i get lenses that block that stuff out or is it just the shape of the sunglasses that do that

By Original Frogskin, aren't you referring to the 1st Generation Frogs which have metal hinges and flat logos? You're referring to New Frogskins .here, which have the plastic(o-matter) hinges and raised logos.

No, they won't fit the original Frogs(metal hinges, made in Japan and flat script), nor do I believe they'd fit the nineties version(made in the US) and they definitely won't fit the New Frogskins(made in the mid nineties, with flat ear-stems). They will only fit the Collectors Frogskins circa 2008-
