  • its a clear peno

  • руни пидр

  • did they win?

  • Gerrard is the worst English diver.

    Rooney second.

    Barton is third.

Evidently diving is just a scouse thing.

  • @Zhengda10 joke of the day! !

  • 2 words

    "ALMUNIA SUCKS!"

  • That's a dive. He starts collapsing his LEFT knee before Almunia makes contact with his RIGHT leg. A clever move that seems to have tricked most people. But ultra slo mo reveals his body movements.

  • He moved his left leg to change the angle of his run away from Almunia, and also to reach out for the ball. It was not a dive.

  • Seriously guys... The keeper doesn't touch the ball.. does he? he do touch Rooney foot thro... Second.. point.. The defenders are to be blamed... they let him squeeze in between a defender and the keeper.. he even manages to control that pass... so.. That worth a penalty... for me... :/

  • Commentator : Ok, Almunia does catch wayne rooney

  • how is that a dive... and im an arsenal fan.... i hate rooney but that is not a dive... plus almunia's the GK, the guys an idiot most of the time....

  • My God!!! I can't beleive people actually think this is a dive lol! The keeper clatters him! If the keepers gets nowhere near the ball and takes the players legs......its a penalty, simple really. But we live in a country were fans will defend the indefendable!

  • NOT A DIVE!!!!

  • fucking scum!!!

  • hmm. probably not a penalty, i mean he wasn't going anywhere. i don't think it was a dive though, he was running full blast and had to be at full stretch to beat the goalie to the ball, so his traliing leg will naturally be dragging along the ground. nothing cynical about it.

  • You guys are priceless!! Call him names all you want doesnt stop him from making millions. He may not be a good person but he is a pretty good footballer.

  • What's the point of such arguing here? That's clearly a foul worthy of a yellow card, end of story.

  • Comment removed

  • Rooney's a fuckin bitch and a terrible footballer.

  • @TheAlidie 8-2? 12-3? 2-1? yeah shut the fuck up

  • @philly624 He ruins the fucking game. Football isn't about scorelines of fucking 8-2 and 12-3. That's just fucking mean and makes him a fucking bitch. So how about you shut the fuck up. This isn't fuckin american football where a huge scoreline is good. A huge scoreline here makes your team look like a bunch of fucking pricks.

  • @TheAlidie YEAH I GUESS YOU CAN THINK OF 12-3 AS A SCORELINE! those #'s actually represent man u vs premierlague cahmpionships vs arsenals. also its been 6 fucking years since you won a trophy. you lost the last one to a team that got fucking relegated you stupid numpty

  • @TheAlidie

    you are gay. -.- idiot..

  • fuck he skud very far

  • he is clearly leaning before contact with almunia

  • Positively Ronaldo-esque. Disappointing.

  • Lol at his left leg :P.

It would have been a penalty anyway, but the way he dives even before the keeper touches him kind of make anyone want to not award it....

But that's weird, I thought the English hated divers and cheaters. But if that's the case, why is Rooney so loved up there?

I guess it's easy to forgive cheaters when they play for your team huh?

  • @wisefelipe

We only hate foreign cheats and divers!

  • @barrywebb

    hahahahah, that's true I guess!

  • Comment removed

  • @JTB69

No one likes Sir Alex Ferguson either

  • @wisefelipe lmao compared to foreigners we never dive..this is nothing, he was taken out - no dive.

Spanish ladyboys go down at everything, sergio busquetes as evidence, italians cry and fall over everything and brazillians and Argentinians drop when they get tapped.

    Germany invented diving.

  • @sleepycriminal

Oh those bad bad foreigners, maybe we should colonize them to teach them good manners!

  • @wisefelipe Shut up mate. You know nothing about football so come up with some random unconnected comment, all I am saying is in foreign football teams diving is much more frequent.

  • @sleepycriminal

"Foreign" as if everywhere was the same.

I agree with you that English football is among the ones with the least diving. But is it THE ONE with the least diving? I don't know, I don't watch every championship in the world. Neither do you, so you can't say that either, treat every foreigner as the same "people" with the same "habits".

And anyway, English players cheat 5x more often than English fans admit. Which is still much less than Spain or Brazil of course.

  • 254 - Rooney going for a swim.

  • This is clearly a penalty. Fuck all haters.

  • @MrOverFreeze haha yeah "clearly a penalty" even though he is practically laying down before he reaches the keeper!

  • he dived. it jsut so happned almunia touched him

  • For me, it is a penalty since Almunia got Rooney's legs instead of blocking the ball...

  • superstar nani 7

  • camera angle yea but wheres the refs angle? hes de one that gave it dipshit!

  • rooney is a fat baldy cunt.

  • not a full blown dive but he went down so easy it was stupid

  • Of course it's a pen almunia didnt get ball and caught player. And we all forget referees can see it in slow mo then rewind it then view it from a different angel

  • Thats a very clear penalty, stop crying.

  • This was crap, the keeper dived for the ball and rooney kicks it away and goes down because of it

  • @chrishowe soz that comment was meant for @kchuk

  • @chrishowe stop trying to justify wengers mistakes hes slowly but surely destroying your team theres been years in the past when wengers been given 70mil to spend and has spent nothing its a joke yes its good to be finacialy efficient but to make the big money you have to win trophies and to win trophies you have to spend money simple and yes united are worth more but we also have debt, i respect wengers abilty to buy cheap and develope players but then he sells them first chance for profit!!!

  • @SOBlessy1

Just for the record, Wenger's never had UK PNDS 70 million to spend, ever. Even now he doesn't have that much.

So, perhaps you can enlighten us all regarding football finances: How much extra have United made because they have won silverware over the past 7 years compared to how much they would have made by just being in the top 4 of the EPL and making it out of the group stages of the Champions League?

  • @SOBlessy1 you really got owned by barrywebb

  • penalty wtf they keeper tripped him

  • Yeah, he's english. Just shows you how shit we are.

  • Ha he was already going down before the keeper touched him.

  • The goaly got the ball and it was Rooney who made contact with the goaly fouling the goaly. It's been the same for manutd for the last 15 years. Referees are bribed.

  • he's going down before almunia touches him

  • how can these commentators dare to say "it's a penalty"?

rooney was lookin for the pen and achieved it with vice

people should understand that ur nationality doesn't make u an angel or a devil.

cheating is universal: in france, spain, england, germany and italy (maybe more there:)

  • This is why soccer is fundamentally flawed... two players genuinely going for the ball trying force a result & one is penalized for doing his job ie the goalkeeper stopping the goal. There is simply not enough scoring in soccer to explain away the fact that stupid decision by the umpire change the outcomes of matches.

  • Once again an Arsenal fan bitching about a team who's success they can never reach.

  • @TheKelz93 I'd like to see Man U compete with Arsenal's transfer funds.

  • @kchuk the funds that they have but Arsene "i didnt see anything" Wenger refuses to spend?

  • @chrishowe Man U has more money. Spending for the sake of spending is foolish. Wenger may be cheap but but the little money he does spend gets him great talent. Vermaelen cost much less than Vidic. But is nearly as solid a defender.

Gervinho cost 5-10 mil pounds less than Ashley Young but is proving to be very effective.

Saving cash isnt something to be frowned on.

  • @kchuk Im not saying saving funds is foolish, im saying there is a time and place to buy known players and Wenger needs that right now, look at Fergie, refused to buy any first team players last season and still won the league, now he has had players retire etc he is investing in the future, Wenger needs to do the same while he is still in a job.

  • @kchuk your comparations really suck, 8-2 and don`t forget about it

  • @siliconista when you hop off the bandwagon let me know then we'll talk. If you knew jack shit about football you'd understand what i was saying.

  • Comment removed

  • @kchuk I'd like to see Arsenal win a trophy.

You got devast - eight - ed at Old Trafford, what was the score again? Oh yeah, it was 8 - 2. . . Woops!

(League Titles) Man Utd 19 - 13 Arsenal

(FA Cup Titles) Man Utd 11 - 10 Arsenal

(League Cup Titles) Man Utd 4 - 2 Arsenal

(Charity Shield Titles) Man Utd 19 - 12 Arsenal

(European Cup Titles) Man Utd 3 - 0 Arsenal

Let the records do the talking.

  • @TheKelz93

    fuck you bandwagoner

  • @kchuk Truth hurts, argument well and truly over.

  • @TheKelz93 its easy to talk big when your team is winning. at least i know that I'm not a bandwagoner

  • @kchuk You're used to not talking big, because Arsenal never win matches or trophies. I think Arsene Wenger is suffering from a very rare illness which affects only two in 6 million (Liverpool & Arsenal), it's called no-trophylitis. This is where a team suffers from a long period without winning any major trophy.

  • @TheKelz93 keep beating the drum. do remember that barca went trophyless for 5 years before they started winning anything. It takes a true fan to stick with his/her team even when things arent going well. Keep talking big when your team is top of the league, it just makes you look like an idiot.

  • @kchuk This is the thing, you're not, you weren't and never will be Barcelona, stop trying to play like them it's failing epically!

  • @TheKelz93 Playing better football to me is very important, thats why I have always like them. Chelsea, Man Utd, and Man City are all the same to me. Counter Attacking teams. Thats why Arsenal beat them last year and Man Utd was humiliated in front of the whole world.

  • @kchuk Still won the Premier League and achieved our aim, what did Arsenal and their "pretty" football win them?

  • whats this bitter nonsense? he got rooneys legs, not the ball. thats a penalty in football. not even a decision its a clear rule. almunia lucky he didnt get sent off. biased, condescending, bullshit. best english striker in the world by spades.

  • he's sprinting... and the reason why he's sliding the grass is because it allows you to stretch more which enables him to get to the ball. every player does that on the field to get the ball and that's how players get injury on field and training ground. if you dont play football, stop posting videos of people diving. if you do, well, i bet you're a cunt running with your legs crossed. dumb shit.

  • do you play football at all, you S.O.B? it's a fucking clear penalty.

  • ..... this is the problem with fans sometimes, that is clearly a penalty? he takes him out as he goes round him, how is that, not a penalty? even if rooney is falling before hand, almunia takes him out.....

  • easily a penalty, almunia makes contact with him and not the ball, even if he didnt "dive" then contact would have still be made and would have still been a penalty

  • look again. he falls before almunia touch him!

  • FACT IS: Almunia should've NEVER went for the ball....Gallas would have challenged with Rooney for it and it was heading towards the corner flag anyway....even if Rooney did win the ball over Gallas, Vermaelen had tracked back to help.....Knowing that PKs are never 100%, you shouldn't serve up the chance for the debate by racing out needlessly, stupid Almunia!!!

  • 1. You can see Rooney fell before Almunia touch him.

    2. The ball would gone out anyway.

So there is not a penalty or dive.

  • Is the Op blind? Clear penalty. Almunia didn't get any thing on the ball, but did get some of Rooney.

  • if anyone thinks this isnt a dive their mentally retarded..watch the replay..almunia first connects with rooney with his elbow..and rooneys falling way before that already...and he was never gonna reach that ball neway so how thats a penalty ill never know

  • i hate man u. and rooney. but thats a penalty.

  • 1:44 Almunia first to the ball ☺

  • You clearly dnt know football man! in football you have to stretch to recieve a through pass, it doesnt come to feet, as he stretched his left foot dug in the ground with his right tryn to control the ball which he did! if "YOU" look closely you will see that 1. almunia avoid a hand injury if rooney was to continue running

    2. go outside and stretch and tryn to run if you can do it without losin balance, i think you should be a sprinter!

    dnt be biased ait

  • Wow. Lmao Rooney hater. If you're going to hate on rooney, find some real dirt on him. Not this lmao as this was a clear penalty

    l0l0l0l0l

  • all the people who said this wasnt a penalty your about blind

  • ooh english players are very very good..............

  • penalty and dive. If a man u player goes down in the box it's a penalty. Ask any referee. There's no reason for Rooney's left leg to capitulate like that he was going down whether there was contact or not.

  • @United2o11 C'mon perhaps you are a Mancunian but that don't means it was a penalty. Clear dive.

  • It was both contact and also the goalie blocks the path.

  • i'm an arsenal fan but that's what u got with a stupid GK.he never should've gone like that towards Shrek

  • the goalkeeper was going for the ball not for his legs.rooney is a pussy

  • Rooney you fat diving cunt

  • @barrywebb Clear it wasn't a dive.

  • @barrywebb dive? clear penalty

  • @barrywebb Get tae fuck you gooner scum.

  • @barrywebb how fucking blind are you?

  • @United2o11 When youre on your knees before you get hit it might be a dive

  • As you can see it was Almunia's pisshead hair that caught Rooney's leg causing him to fall.

  • @mranimalhuman i suppose anyone with hair longer than 1mm is a pisshead to you

  • what exactly were you expecting Rooney to do? disappear?

  • Rooney starts falling when Almunia gets close to him. Plus he did it because there was no way he could keep control of the ball.

  • he was going to ground already the cheating bastard

  • 0:27 Almunia caught 'ball' there...

  • @mrnichlas07

I wish that were true but it isn't. Although Almunia was only a faction of a second late (less then 0.1 seconds by my calculations), he didn't get anything of the ball.

  • @mrnichlas07 no he didnt

  • @mrnichlas07 haha u need to go specsavers son!! hes a good 5 inches away from it ya tit!!!

  • @SOBlessy1 it was just a joke..no offence

  • @mrnichlas07 LOL!

  • nice to see you put up a video and rant that way

  • @Grounderz

Does that mean you liked it?

  • ïts old trafford.. so its always a penalty

  • @harryspooner

Funny enough, Utd are probably awarded a average number, compared to the top clubs, both home and away. What is striking is how few they concede. Over the last 10 seasons, they conceded less than a penalty a season at home and less then 1.5 per season at away matches.

What is telling is how many of those awarded are highly dubious. In this video, apart from Rooney's dive, could Mike Dean really have see contact by Almunia? With Rooney clearly impeding his view of the incident.

  • @SuperRichp

But doesn't Rooney's simulation before he was caught by Almunia invalidate any claim for a penalty?

  • this video is pointless. it's a fucking PK. who cares how early his leg touched the ground? Almunia's half retarded ass caught his right foot. end of story.

  • @xWan234x

"who cares how early his leg touched the ground?"

I do if that's OK with you.

  • The point is that he hadn't fallen until almunia touched him. The matter of the fact is that he touched rooney and not the ball in such a manner to ensure that rooney falls. And that's not a dive it's a stretch for the ball!

  • @Cupitum

    1. The action does not need to be completed in order for it to be simulation. Rooney is clearly falling before he is caught by Almunia.

    2. Show me another clip where someone is stretching for the ball whilst dragging (and hence slowing down) their foot an collapsing their leg. Best of luck with that.

  • he fell before almunia touched him

  • @SemMkay

Well, he was certainly falling before Almunia touched him.

  • @barrywebb

    allright

  • The great thing is that wilshire is english

  • @RuffDiamond23

Well, let's hope that he doesn't follow Rooney's poor examples both on and off the pitch. The recent incidents of Wilshire's loutish behaviour do not bode well. He needs to cut them out and concentrate on his football.

  • rooney dragged his leg you dumb fuck so he could get to the ball

  • @kachmeister78

And why, exactly, would he do that? How would dragging his left foot (and collapsing his left leg, don't forget that) help him reach the ball?

  • @barrywebb allowing him to reach farther with his other foot

  • @kachmeister78

So let me get this straight: He dragged his foot so that he could reach the ball. Well, I'd give you that if it wasn't for:

    1. The fact that dragging his left foot caused him to slow down reducing his chances of reaching the ball.

    2. The collapsing of his left leg which no reasonable person could interpret as "allowing him to reach further".

  • Lol stupid idiot it's clearly a penalty!

  • @TheBeautyofSoccer

I think you need a new handle. May I suggest "TheIdiotofSoccer" as you clearly can't see that Rooney was already on his way down before Almunia caught him.

  • @barrywebb you are an diot

  • @REDSTARFCULTRAS

I've been told that many times. Anything more interesting to add?

  • @barrywebb haha yes...Arsenal sucks

  • @REDSTARFCULTRAS

I can't wait for your next witticism. Or should that be half-witticism?

  • @barrywebb double witticism actually...

  • @REDSTARFCULTRAS

    Split personality perhaps?

  • @barrywebb yes and no

  • @REDSTARFCULTRAS

    Good comment. Funny.

  • @barrywebb or maybe youre just sarcastic perhaps?

  • @REDSTARFCULTRAS

I am generally but wasn't being so in this case.

  • @barrywebb Well then, thank you!

  • From 0:44 I slept untill the end! ;D

  • @Rastrau34

I'm pleased to see that it was of use to you.

  • @FifaKingee97 ok then...

  • @FifaKingee97whats that suposed to mean?

  • @FifaKingee97 i need to grow up?says the guy whos been cussing at me

  • @FifaKingee97 not as shitty as your disgraceful wanna be family

  • @FifaKingee97 if you mess with him you mess with me...and you cant be callin me a dumb ass because you spelled that wrong!

  • Comment removed

  • The thing is, there is NO way he still getting the ball if he stayed on his feet. He just kicked the ball out of play. Yes he made contact with the ball first but look where is ends up. He went down to the smallest of touches. He dove.

  • @FifaKingee97 So the definition for Rooney is the same definition for your mom? I agree.

  • It wasn't a penalty, from a Spurs fan.

  • @TheMumsboy

It was very similar to the Lennon penalty in the 3 - 3 drawn at WHL the 2010-11 season. The difference is, Lennon didn't start falling a week before he was caught by Schenzy . I do wish he hadn't come out of his box doing his best impersonation of Almunia though.

I hope you guys don't loose Modric this year. Big loss if you do.

  • @barrywebb Thanks mate :)

  • love the look on almunia's face

  • If there is Contact made in the Box, the player has every right to go down. End Off. Thank-you very much Almunia.

  • @ConanAndrews

Didn't you already comment on this video?

Another question: If Rooney had deliberately handled the ball prior to Almunia making contact, would it still have been a penalty?

  • @barrywebb But the fact is, the Penalty was given and questions like that aren't going to change it, so whats the point in arguing? It was a penalty because the referee gave it as a penalty. By the way...did Rooney handle the ball?

  • @ConanAndrews

The reason for posting the video was not to change the result, which obviously can't happen, but to highlight the different media reaction between this incident and the "dive" by Eduardo against Celtic. Why was Eduardo vilified when he was hardly known for his diving antics and Rooney given a pass when he is a serial diver?

No he didn't. That's why I phrased the question as: "If Rooney had deliberately handled the ball".

  • @barrywebb Rooney a serial Diver? Please enlighten me of all the times he has dove? Have you seen the difference between the dives? The difference is "Contact", Rooney was touched and Eduardo wasn't. Rooney may have been falling already but Almunia had all ready committed himself to the challenge (Boruc pulled away in the last seconds) therefore the Referee thought it was a penalty. Every player would be told before games to go down in situations that draw the keepers out and make contact.

  • @ConanAndrews

Educate yourself and have a look on YouTube for Rooney's exploits, both for Man Utd and England. It's embarrassing.

I originally though that Eduardo dived. And so did UEFA who charged him after the fact. But Arsenal appealed and introduced video evidence which Sky chose not to release which showed contact by the keeper. As a consequence, he was cleared by UEFA.

By the way, it's dived not dove.

  • @barrywebb So your saying Rooney dove and Eduardo didn't? you need to Educate yourself. If you watch Eduardo in match's, the slightest touch and he goes down. Hardly known for his diving my arse. What i seen based on contact was that the arsenal keeper made more contact than Boruc did (if he even made contact) I never seen any.

By the way, English isn't my first language so there's no need to spell check. If you don't like the way i use word's or spell them, simply don't read my comments.

  • paus at 2.12 almunia still hasnt even made contact the diving fat shrek cunt!

  • its clearly a penalty. contact was there with rooney and not with the ball. look closely.

  • @Jayson1996

What about Rooney's simulation before that? Doesn't that matter?

  • @barrywebb No.

  • @deathbox731

    Why not?

  • @barrywebb Because it's Wayne Rooney. Don't question any more.

  • @Jayson1996 Rooney dived before any contact was made. Rooney is the best diver in English football I'll give him that. He dives and he makes it look as if the opponent fouls him like he did against Arsenal in 2004.

  • @kevin084life even if he hadn't dived if according to you that he 'dived', the outcome will still be the same. contact will surely be there, its just a matter of seconds that he will fall.

  • @Jayson1996 You don't even have to look closely, it's obvious it was a penalty. There's no doubt why your comment is the highest rated, because everyone can see you're correct. Unlike this idiot barrywebb.

  • Lag.
